What’s your favourite wedge for bunkers?

Most often I am using my Titleist 54.10 S grind which is bent to being 56, increasing the bounce to 12 which I like that bit more.

Have a cleveland tour action 900. It does work but have so few bunker shots for it to be useful

Meh I think sand game is more about a solid setup than a club. I will say I’m liking my ping wedges though...

58* tm big foot. Best sand wedge I've ever used for me.

Cleveland RTX4 54 and 58 wedges. Both have Mid grind.

Must admit I'm not actually in bunkers that often - in fact it's about 4 rounds since I had to get myself out of one, but when I do need to get out I'm loving my Engage 58 Dual Sole at the moment. Easy to slide under the ball and fairly flexible to vary trajectory with.

 

Not suggesting I'm 2000 Tiger reborn by the way. I'm usually either on the green, or so far wide no one thought to put a bunker out there ?

Callaway sure out2 58 degrees. Works like a charm.

60.12D grind for most bunker shots. 54.10S for longer shots or very, very firm sand. The 60.12D is like cheating out of the bunker.

For the fine, deep sand at my home course another vote for the Callaway Sure Out2 56*

Almost all the time, great around the greens and for chipping over bunkers etc.

Depends on distance, lie, sand consistency. I actually will play my 50, 55, or 60 depending on the shot needed. I always try to take the least amount of loft possible as the margin for error is lower.

Recently I have made the following adjustment with great success!

Fluffy sand: Ping Glide 56* with 14* of bounce.

Firm sand: Vokey 52* with 8* of bounce.

Mine is any version of the EYE or ES grind ping. I have both 54 and 58 Glide Stealth ES grinds...perfect for me

If it is green side The Callaway pm grind 58 is perfect. Gets everything out high and soft. If it’s over 40 yards I move to my miura k grind 52. The two best sand clubs/grinds ever crafted imo.

56 is the loft i use mostly from greenside bunker shots... and specifically the newest callaway pm grind 2.0 has been the best ive used.. i have only messed up one shot compared to ALOT AND ALMOST HOLED ONE!!! Ive gotten out if the bunker every time so far though... it has givin me confidence and way higher success rate. I sound like a infomercial... buy now $149.99

Decades ago when I was a beginner, I was told to just take my highest lofted club (usually 60 degrees), open it up slightly and make a full swing hitting 2" behind the ball.

 

I've gone through phases of using different wedges and maybe opening them up more or less or trying to hit a little closer behind the ball. I always come back to just a big swing with a 58-60 degree wedge and hit well behind the ball.

 

So currently it's a CBX Full Face 60 but just because that's my highest lofted wedge. No special/favorite wedge just for bunkers.
