Standard reverse overlap, FB1.5 T22 (ie mild toe hang, found I needed some from a SamLab fitting), pretty orthodox setup (I mimic https://www.instagram.com/prestonsputting/). 95% of my practicing is indoors at home, 5 minutes of 4-10ft straight putts, just working on making sure it's pure roll and on line (I use the line to judge this). On the course, I use the line and commit to it no matter what, so I am only focused on speed. I will work on lag putting before a big round or at a new course, mainly to better gauge green speed that day. I rarely 3 putt and sub-30 PPR is not uncommon, 31-32 is more common but that is more due to my to my short game than putting. Very few tap ins, but save quite a few in the 4-8 ft range

 

The only "tip" that was important was from @MonteScheinblum, there should be little to no longer body movement while putting. While practicing short ones I pretend I'm waste deep in concrete

How: Usually with the putter, sometimes when I'm lazy I take what I have in hand, most likely the SW

Why: They told me, I need to get the ball in the hole, so I guess this is the only reason...

 

Kidding aside: Experiment to what feels most comfortable with you and most importantly, what works for you in any situation. I've tried all kind of grips I found on the internet, I've tried all kind of postures and ball-positions. One thing I did was, stick to every "experiment" for at least a week and write down your results. After a lot of trying I now ended up with with ball slightly forward in my stance, standard vardon grip, posture mid to low with some site bend away from the hole. Why? Because it works for me. 

BTW.: Using SW for putting is quite a cool method to learn starting the ball on the desired line and getting a smooth stroke. Try to put something like 20 balls with the SW and then switch to your putter... you will be surprised

Very simple approach and/or mindsets...

 

- Distance Control always first priority...

- Develop Confidence Inside 6 Feet...

 

- Same Routine

- Relaxed Over Ball

- "Big Picture" Visualizer.  Don't like spots or lines.

In my view trying to keep the putter head artificially close to the ground introduces compensations. Like a golf swing, the more flaws you put in the more flaws you have to take out.

I’m right hand control for my putting stroke 
it’s basically like an Y motion with conventional grip 

I tried the  claw grip then I feel like I have to make a slight forward press and play ball hair back 
The cackhand grip feels weird to me I have to grip my right hand really tight with my left hand and lead the stroke with my left arm 

I tend to putt better when I can relax

I am attempting side saddle this year because it intuitively makes more sense to me from a "finesse skill" perspective!

I putt the way I putt because I finally found something that works for me. I'm putting the best of my life. Every putt feels like a straight putt, and I feel like I'm going to make literally every putt inside 40 feet when I'm "on." I often go 4 or 5 rounds without a 3-putt, and I absolutely can't wait to get to the putting green. And all that is only in the last 3 - 4 years. Before that, I dreaded putting.

Reverse overlap r index down the shaft. 

Shoulders and eyes directly over the ball and on line.

Motion is all shoulders. Pendulum. 

Thought is to finish with the putter head in the hole.

I know this won't help most folks, but since building my simulator and playing lots of rounds on TGC, I am a much better putter as a result. Initially, I thought the putting feature on TGC would be a complete nuisance, but it has proved to be the exact opposite. I have three main strokes for 10ft, 20ft, and 30ft, all of which are built off the 10ft. My distance control in the game is superb, and by estimating my IRL putt lengths and the relative up/down change, I have immediately been able to translate those feels to the course. I practice 10ft'ers on the practice green before my round, and I immediately "learn" the speed and am able to use my TGC approach out on the course. It truly is amazing. The hardest part is figuring the length to the hole and adding/substracting footage based on the slope. I literally am converting every putt I have to an equivalent distance on a flat surface, and making my stroke based off of that.

It appears I'm a bit lazy with reads and I'm not aggressive enough (leave a lot of putts short or miss on the low side).
