I might be on an island here, but did anyone have both the OG MGs and the MG2s and feel like the original MGs spun more over the long term? Don't get me wrong, the first few rounds with the MG2s I was zipping everything from chips to pitches and full shots, but I've had mine since last December and I don't feel like they've held their spin level compared to my OG MGs which I had for over 2 years. I have different shafts in my MG2s vs my OG MGs, but I suspect the raw face is the major variable.

I never had the earlier taylormade wedges but I think the MG2 with the raw face went quickly from better spin than any wedges I had before (that face used to eat the cover off balls) to fairly disappointing… I do like to keep my clubs clean which was stopping the rusting so as the spin wore off I let them go rusty and I don’t think it is much different. 

Much prefer a finished face that may not be as skinny as the raw face to start with but remains spinny for longer.

Interesting the low bounce options seem to have a custom grind to it, while the SB/HB look like their previous plain looking grinds.

My rep told me there will be tiger grinds. Only in 56 and 60 this year again but won’t be available at launch. Raw face again this year with sm7,sm6 like cg tech.

The original MGs in the raw are the best wedge I've ever used. Seem to still be very popular on tour

Ht the black 50.09 quite a bit the last two days. Feels exceptional, and really looks good. I've never been a fan of black wedges, but with the raw face it's not really an issue. Hit the 54.11? (I think) in normal finish too, was pretty good. Seems like the higher bounce versions weren't as great a feel to me, same with a 56. But I'm sure different swing types will have different feel/results. Just wasn't as enamored with it as the much as the 50. 

 

They definitely feel and look way better than the new Jaws Full Toe wedges. Although, I only have access to the 56 and 60 so far.

Can we see some pictures? Is it chrome or satin finish? The original MG chrome was so damn shiny, I hope the new ones come in satin or raw.

No pics allowed yet, as far as I know. The regular finish is more satin, definitely not shiny. Pretty ideal look, to be honest.

Available for pre order now, both colors. The black wedges look really nice. 
 

edit: not that it matters for most of you, but lefties get less options on the black color way compared to the silver. Disappointing

I got to hit these a few weeks ago and TM really improved the shape a lot. I love the look from address and as other's have said, tons of room for stamping whatever you would like! The MG3 is more rounded with a softer look that the MG2, the toe isn't nearly as square. Feel is soft and solid and I like how responsive they are without being too clicky on shots away from center. The SB models have solid turf interaction in firm conditions and I never felt like there was too much bounce and couldn't get under the ball. Overall I really like the MG3 and might try and get a 50 and 60 to finish off my set!

TM site has shockingly little to no information about the sole grinds on these, other than listing high, standard and low bounce as options on the list.  No photos that I can find showing the grind of the low or high bounce options.  Pretty disappointing since the wedge is named Milled Grind- let's see the grinds!!

If anyone is near Myrtle beach and can get to pga superstore they have a bunch of demos available. I unwrapped the first one and hit it for about 20 minute last night. They had all lofts, satan and black. I was hitting the satan 52. Felt really really good. Much softer than my 2 year old hi toes. They will be in my bag for sure.

Be careful they come with s200 shafts. Not the ti s400 like the mg2 tw wedge. So stupid tm

I ordered my with TI X100 , I don’t know why TM switched shafts

I spent a bit of time with them today to see if they could kick my Nike Engage's out of the bag....I think they will!!

 

Lovely straight leading edge and very nice head shape to them.

 

I went in thinking I'd prefer the satin chrome but the black ones are SWEET!!

 

The satin is more of a finish and was already slightly marked so I'm not too concerned about the black ones marking up too easily
