Thanks.  Wow, wider.  Hold smokes.  Was going to order on the original first 1K Proto order but I might wait now just to make certain on the size.  I was hoping for something just a little smaller and maybe a tiny bit larger than the EXO 7 but just being wider and maybe shorter than the 2.1 is still a very large profile.  Might just keep the 2.1.

I didnt compare them side by side. So I could be off. That is just my impression.

If the pictures off their website are not edited and we use a shaft diameter of .355", then the width is ~3.43" and the depth is ~2.343".  If we assume a shaft diameter of .370", then the dimensions are ~3.57" x ~2.442".

Ok, I bit on this.

 

I had a LAB DF way back in 2017 (found my old remote fitting videos and dialogue with Bill Presse) I recall liking the putter a lot, but at the end of the day I think the issue was looking at it….

 

The B2 never appealed to me in terms of looks.

 

Now, this MEZZ Proto looks awesome to me. Went all out and ordered with a BGT Stability Tour shaft. Can’t wait to try it and review it here.

 

I’ve been putting great with a center shaft putter (EVNROLL 2 CS)

recently and I have high hopes for this new offering.

Its definitely not wider. It's quite compact. inline with odyssey #7

Try the 3° first. If you are driving it into the ground, you can try the 1.5°

Makes sense. It may just have looked that way based off shape to me. Again, didnt directly compare.

A lot of folks have been asking about the size of the MEZZ.1 vs. the DF 2.1, so I had the team make this up. As you'll see, it's very different!

 

We really don't want the selling point of this putter to be, "it's so much smaller." We see it as another way to offer golfers Lie Angle Balance in a package that's right for them. There's a reason why the DF 2.1 is the size/shape it is, and the same it true for MEZZ.1.

It looks great. Smaller is the main reason I ordered one. This looks easier to line up also. Black shaft makes the whole thing look cleaner than the white shaft in the other pics too.

Thank you for the info.  Def something I would like to get now.  I have the 2.1 and even the blade and always was hoping for something in between in size.  This looks to be perfect.

we wanted to name it (actually DID name it) Mezzo which means "mid or middle" in italian but Cleveland beat us to it. So we settled on Mezz.1.

I pulled the trigger last night on the MEZZ.  Will be my first LAB putter.  Went with the stability shaft.  Just waiting for lie confirmation from my fitting video.

i think theyve said theyre aiming for a full production run early next year

It will be in our line up. A couple of internal changes will be made to the putter for the production run but nothing substantial.

Should start shipping towards the end of next week. Sadly the supply chain mess has prevented the Mezz cover from being ready in time. We have an oversized cover that works well. Those who want to replace it when the mezz covers come in will get them at cost.

@labgolf So we will not receive the appropriate LAB Mezz.1 putter cover with our order and will have to pay for the correct replacement one when they are ready???  Paying the $750 for a this Proto putter without the appropriate putter cover doesn't seem right to me.  I wouldn't think I am the only one thinking this.
