Ping Putters. What's new for 2022? Any info?

Not sure why they put those there. They are the stroke type indicators they use for the different models.

 

Goes back a few lines of their putters.

 

I'm really disappointed they don't offer both finishes in each model.

A Tyne with a milled face.... Oh my...  My Anser Milled 2 has been so good, it would be hard to not buy another one with a milled face, but the Tyne 2021 was such a good putter for me besides the inconsistent feel of the insert and I did not like the smooth face of the PLD.  Makes this one VERY tempting.

Hmm…a fully milled Anser with no line. If it wasn’t deep milled, I’d be all in.

I want the Anser. Been waiting for a milled Anser for a while. I need the flange sight line tho. Wonder if I can get that? I’d also like try one with a new fancy putter shaft like MMT or Accra or even LAGP. Probably just have to do that on my own tho. But a PLD deep milled Anser with MMT shaft could be the end to all my putter searching and longing.

The PING PLD graphite shaft is extremely stiff. I have an LAGP one35 shafted blade and a PLD Anser with their graphite shaft and it's just as firm if not stiffer. The PLD milled Ansers should have the same graphite shaft mine has according to the PDF that was posted.

$90 for a custom sight line through Morton golf sales. After they are release should be able to order it like that trough them. Shaft will probably be better to do on your own.

If I ordered an anser 4* flat would ping mill it 4* flat or just bend it?

were you fitted at ping for this pld or did you just get this putter before the big release?

I did a PLD fitting last summer. However, I just emailed Jeff for this one, I didn't go back and do another fitting.

Is that the Black Satin / Stealth finish or the RAW Antique finish? Looks very dark but almost a little dark brown, which is unreal looking. I'm dreaming of an Anser 2D (wide), RAW with antique and Black Stealth Steel Shaft.

It's the raw patina finish. The lighting in the photo and the black graphite shaft are making it look darker than it is. It's sort of a reddish brown that will rust over time.

Have had a Spider X in the bag for almost 3 years now, but both the Tyne 4 and DS72 have my attention. Have been a huge PLD fan since they started popping up on tour. Would love to see the line expand year by year.

It's either a Toulon LV H4.5 or the PING Prime Tyne. I own the Ping Tyne 4 and love the look and stability, but hate the face. However if PING doesn't get their act together and make it available for me to purchase I will go Toulon.
