My gosh dude... Ridiculous. Absolutely no other tester on YouTube is seeing huge gains over sim 2 or rogue or Mizuno or cobra.

I won’t say it is the best for everyone. But it is really good for me. I don’t know what to tell you. I am not making it up. I got the new mizuno stz that I am a fan of as well. But it doesn’t have the same top gear. My numbers with the stealth every time have been faster, more consistent spin and better launch. I think it is a combo deal. I will say my misses are pretty big haha. That is where the mizuno may have a edge. I hit it straighter more often but so far In the cold weather the stealth is consistently longer than everything!

I also tested sim2, Cobra LTDX LS, and stealth plus with same shaft(Ventus Blue 6S), I only saw the gain of 3 yards but dispersion on Cobra was better compared to my Sim2 driver.

 

I wont be making driver upgrade but just wanted to share my experience with them 🙂

 

BTW, has anyone seen a difference between Sim2 TI 3W vs. Stealth plus 3W in terms of distance and dispersion?

See response above, but I will also add there are many tour players that are seeing 3-5 mph gains with this. Berger (free agent) said he switched because it was getting him into the 180s in ball speed. Morikawa, saw about a 5 mile an hour jump. Those could be outliers. But just some food for thought.

I agree, I’ve seen gains around 10 yards over my Epic max ls using the same D+ limited shaft. I have a Autoflex shaft that will be here Monday and will post results. I do how ever have a theory, I have a playing partner that also bought a Stealth plus and has not see those gains. After hitting his club a few time his has a different feel. I’m wondering if there a very slight face thickness from club to club. Just a different mix in resins could cause slight differences. But again it’s just a theory!

Maybe. I have thought maybe higher speeds work better.. maybe they get more face reaction. I don’t know.

I have a sim 2 max and didn't see (or feel) any improvements when trying the stealth plus. Very interesting results between players

Id trust his word…. He has no reason to mislead. For me it has definitely been better than SIM 2. The one thing I will say is i tested a demo against the cobra and the cobra was arguably better. But something was off with that stealth head. When i received  mine…it was lights out. Makes me think there are certainly some dud demo heads out there.

I gained 3 mph swing speed and similar center strike ball speed with the stealth +  during my fitting. Tried the new stealth +, rogue, cobra and used my Radspeed. All with ventus black 7x. The off center strikes maintained good speed and it was the most forgiving for me. I’ve hit it a few times at our heated outdoor range since my fitting and it is definitely more forgiving. Be a bit before I’m able to hit in on the snow covered courses here. Swing speed 110-116

Maybe it’s delivery dependent.  I see very good ball speed and distance off this. I dunno. I try really hard to honest and up front and Avoid bias.

 

last 4 drivers have been titleist, taylormade, callaway Srixon.

Holy smokes, 181 ball speed. If I swing out of my shoes, glove and pants 164 ball speed is my limit. 181 is top stuff Q!

I agree on swing speed, I also think these club faces get hotter the more you hit them. Carbon and resin break down and would allow a bit more flex in the face.

That's awesome ball speed!  Makes my mortal 161 feel wimpy. LoL!  Do you have the club data to post?  Curious to speed and delivery info between the two.

Speed is about 124 I am very flat through the ball it ranges from -1 to plus 1 into the ball.

124 is smokin.   Just remember that there are several factors that contribute to ball speed besides swing speed.  Impact location, dynamic loft, etc..  you deliver the club better with the TaylorMade for whatever reason.  That's why I'm curious to see the strike and club data on the shots.

For sure. Sorry I don’t have the strike location data. But based off feel these were both centered. I completely agree there are other dynamics at play.

All I can say is 'wow'.

Ball speed 4 mph faster, backspin and launch numbers all improved, distance was 15-20 yards better and dispersion was tighter...

The club just felt lighter overall, looked awesome and the sound was fine.

Oh well $$$$

Going to dial in SW on mine and hope weather improves here so can get mine outdoors on monitor.  I just can’t go off indoor numbers. Have to see the ball on course.

I knew you were long, but 124 ss is otherworldly.  Also, 6'2 is the perfect height for golf IMO.  Long levers work very well for golf and baseball. BEAST!!!

I've been on the driver merry-go-round for a while now but the stealth+ is now firmly in the bag. Previously had OG SIM 9* which I loved, but I did tend to hit some foul balls with it (obviously not the club's fault).

 

I definitely see better ball speed retention and more consistent spin on miss hits - which for me is especially noticeable on thin and high toe strikes. I made some truly awful swings during testing that only lost 2-3 mph ball speed and flew far straighter than they had any business flying.

 

I know in reality the center of the face isn't hotter than anything else released in recent history... but I am seeing ~2 mph more ball speed on center strikes than I am with my SIM (same shaft, head weight, etc). For me, it launches higher than the SIM at standard loft and sits more neutral, so I'm able to loft it down to 7.5* while maintaining the same launch angle I got from my SIM at 9*. I suspect that feeling like there's a better chance I'll get away with a bad strike also helps me swing a little faster.

 

Overall vs SIM:

- average ball speed 171 (SIM was 167) +4 mph

- average carry 287 (SIM was 276) +11 yards

- average total distance 324 (SIM was 310) +14 yards

 

I'm sure not everyone will have the same results, but these are by far the best numbers I've seen from my driver since moving to the Bay Area chopped 5+% off all of my carry distances
