I think the composite bat comparison is worth exploring. I was under the impression the more broken in they got the better.

You are correct.  The best ball i ever hit with my synergy was the last hit before it cracked.

Got fitted for stealth HD 9 degree standard with ventus blue 6S. For me the HD version was the only one that didn’t setup closed for me. It seemed to be square.

Moving from M3 430 9 degree with GD AD VR 70S.

Gained a few yards but dispersion was key for me.

I was upset when the realization set in too. It will be okay Cupcake. Some are still waiting on pre-orders. Before you know it there will be a 54 page topic on a longer and faster stealth. Kinda like your children needing new shoes, and you say dang I just bought you those...

Wasn’t upset at all. Cost me nothing to upgrade each year, so I don’t lose sleep knowing a new driver is coming in 12 months.

That's so awesome to hear Bruce! you have 11 months until you see pictures of the new Stealth2! Yes, the golfwrx community and taylormade are counting down the sleeps😉

Mine just got delivered. My head was 194G and it comes up at D3 with the stock Ventus red stiff. Put in my AD-DI 6S, same length but its a little but heavier and it jumped it up to D5.

45 inch or the stock 45.75?

I’ve put a few swings on the Plus and am really enjoying it. Came from Sim 2 max which overspun for me. Went from 7* loft in SIM 2 to 8.25* in the plus. 7 didn’t spin near enough for me and kept falling out of the air. The sound and feel are completely different than the SIM 2 in a positive way. Seems more muted at impact. Very powerful feeling off the club face.

I paired it with my Ventus Black 6s, MCC +4 midsize, weight in the draw bias setting. I agree with those that mentioned it is a little weird not seeing impact on the face but it has good enough feel that I can automatically tell if I’ve mishit it. I’m an average player and it doesn’t seem super demanding and the forgiveness is pleasantly surprising.

The head is a great shape at address. Zero complaints about the red face and honestly don’t even notice it. Thought I’d miss the chalk and carbon look but gloss black against matte carbon is a good enough contrast to still help with alignment. Time will tell on the durability of the face but I think I’m going to be conscious to not hit sandy range balls.

Not much negative to say about it. Wish the chrome piece on the bottom was the gloss black. I’m indifferent to the stealth logo on the face, wouldn’t have bothered me if it stood out a bit more. The headcover could be higher quality in my opinion.  L

Overall I think it’s a solid driver and the club ho in me is all giddy.

ordered mine with Kaili S at 45.25.  Always intended to put my Ventus blue into it and play 44.75.

Head came out at 200g with the screw. They must’ve put a heavier weight on the back.

I think the headcover is one of the best they have released in years.   Just a smidge tight.

Funny you mention the feel...

I hit it the other day and I couldn't tell where I hit it on the face.  It all felt the same... Dead.  It sounded great, but no feel.   I don't mind the red face.

I agree, just about everything feels the same except the dead center, but ball speeds on misses were good.

Any feedback/thoughts on the Kai'Li White 60 shaft in the Stealth (not Plus) driver head at all please? Can get one this week but no chance to demo before (fed up waiting for a Rogue ST Max that is embargoed for another month here in the UK - but it was the driver I really wanted for '22).........but I do have my Tensei AV Raw Orange if needed to swap into it if the Kai'Li White doesn't work for me.

Thanks.

Went to my first fitting ever, I will never buy another driver or iron set again without being fit. I am 65 years old in good shape and play to a 5 hdcp. from the normal mens tees. I have hit every TM and Callaway driver in the last three years and have not been happy with anything, so I went back to my Mavrik Max. Nothing felt solid, and normal ( without being manipulated) ball flight was left to right with miss being block or over the top pull hook. I went in thinking I would be fitted for 9 degree HD. I hit the Mavrik first distance was 265 avg. medium fade. Tried the HD next and loved it, more distance and medium draw. The fitter said no, I do not like the numbers. He put me in the Stealth 10.5 and the ball started flying off the club. We settled on the reg. Stealth and the Kaili stiff shaft. I asked if I needed to upgrade shaft and fitter said why, these are the best numbers I can give you unless you increase ball speed. 10 ball average as follows: Ball speed 154- Launch Angle 15.5- Backspin 1875 rpm- Total distance 290. Off line 13.4 yds L. I knew feel was much better than any thing I hit in last three years but was skeptical of results as it was a TM fitter doing the fitting. I went to my local shop next and showed them the numbers and they said lets see and they set me up to their simulator. Numbers were basically identical if not a little longer. Again the statement was made with your ball speed this as as good as it can get. In the past I thought I was a high spin player, and this cost me many dollars trying to get a low spin combination when I needed just the opposite. Lesson learned. GET FITTED.

Thanks.

I tried it in my plus, sorry not exactly what you were hoping for, but it definitely has plenty of feel/kick. I dunno if it was the graphics or what but it reminded me alot of the old ahina.

Just went to the local shops Taylormade fitting. I hit a few driver setups then we tried a 13.5 3w I'd liked before. Hit that well. Fitter moved back to a 10.5 head and the hzardous red 6.0 1/2 inch short. It was like flipping a switch. Best of both worlds between the 3w and other drivers.

High 90's SS was carrying 250 with 270 roll. 13-14 launch and 1800-1900 spin. I don't think I've felt so comfortable with a driver in my life. Mishits 255, center face 275.

I almost bought it on site but have a birthday coming in March. I'm 99% this will be my next driver.

What have you tested it against so far?

Everything but the new cobra line. Have not had a chance to hit those yet. I am a fan of the mizuno driver. It may be more accurate or consistent. But this has a Tyson upper cut punch that is just scary when it connects. If my swing was more consistent it would be no contest.

I think the stealth Plus is hotter than the Sim 2

Went to Golftown today after hitting at my favourite indoor simulator establishment, all warmed up took my current SIM2 w/my current Ventus Velocore shaft, etc.

Hit 10 balls in the sim there with my current set-up, removed the SIM2 head exchanged it for the Stealth Plus 9 degree, set it at the same 'lowest' spot on the hosel hit it 10 times as well to get an 'apples to apples' comparison...

All I can say is 'wow'.

Ball speed 4 mph faster, backspin and launch numbers all improved, distance was 15-20 yards better and dispersion was tighter...

The club just felt lighter overall, looked awesome and the sound was fine.

Oh well $$$$ rolleyes.png
