 Back in 1991 Wilson had The Whale driver.  Choice of Graphite head, titanium head or Wood.  Those were awesome. Then the Killer Whale.  End of ball game.

With all the carbon fiber in the toe as well as the way the back weight is angled, this driver screams draw biased to me.

First Wilson driver I've seen that doesn't look cheap.

Looks far better in hand than it did in the conforming pics. It's still a Wilson Staff driver though, so my hopes aren't too high for it.

Triton was the longest driver I ever hit. Sadly it sounded like hell.

Man, that doesn't look bad at all.  I like the shape and the face looks nice and tall.  I don't think I would mentally be able to spend $500-$600 on a wilson driver.  And, going off of how they've priced their products in the past, I fully expect to see this one come in priced along the very top of the driver market.  I still think they really need to do something different to get their clubs in peoples bags and build some brand loyalty.

Interesting, I think Cortex showed them that they don't resonate at the high end of the market in woods.. I assumed that was the reason this club wasn't badged as a STAFF club. Maybe this gets them on solid ground and they can build as others have. Who knows.....It's Wilson....

I would think they learned their lesson with cortex. I can’t speak to their pricing on this one. Was purely a guess. Just based on their iron prices and their premium balls coming in at the very top in pricing for the category.

Anyone know why pros like a deeper or higher faced driver? I actually tend to like more normal or a touch shallower then what the pros seem to want. I noticed this with callaways triple diamond rogue st also. Just dont know why?

I agree with you. It appears that they have a premium strategy for items that carry the word STAFF. Forged irons, top end ball, wedges and even glove. Wilson, which seems a notch down might be lesser price. Perhaps similar to Tour Edge vs Exotics. Perhaps just a Chicago thing 

They also MUST get this in Paddy’s bag and Woodlands. If not then what’s the point.

I think it looks nice. I am not trying to be sarcastic, but what else can you do to make a driver shape much different than others? Seriously, should it be square (all ready tried) or a rectangle? I like the look, if it performs that'd be great. It certainly is about time WS has something out there that aesthetically is pleasing.

I think the shape is great. The cortex had a great shape too. Will have to wait and see what the performance looks like. Since there is almost zero demo presence for Wilson around me, the price would have to be phenomenal and there would need to be quite a bit of buzz for me to trust a Wilson driver.

If the performance is good why could not trust a Wilson driver?

I used to hit some bombs with the Triton! The stock Aldila Rogue 125 shaft worked really great in that head. I dumped a bunch of hot melt into mine and the sound ended up being very good.
