Phil has so royally ruined his reputation over the last year. Only Tiger has stepped in it worse.

I'd never heard any of the infidelity stuff about Phil, I thought him and his wife had always been happily married and content. That sucks if that's true, zero respect for people who cheat on their spouses.

It takes two. The likely hood someone sends an inappropriate message without thinking it will be welcomed is low. Pat would share the story if it was 100 percent on Phil. More details will come out. Pat wouldn't have teased the story if he didn't want to tell it.

For months, been hearing from people who would know that the Mickelson marriage is deceased. When you add this to the gambling problem and insider trading stuff, it all starts to make sense.

Very sad, and it's the Tiger collapse from '09 all over again. You can seemingly have the whole world and it will never be enough to satisfy.

That's good, I'm not one of these people who wishes bad things upon him because they disagree with his choices. It would disappoint me to to learn that he had been unfaithful.

 

But I will stick to my point, that dudes who send out pics like that, aren't just doing it for kicks, there looking to see who takes the bait... You dangle your worm in the pond, you're looking for a bite.

This, plus Phil is at the age where he can't rely on his game to paper over the personal issues. Tiger was able to make it back to #1 and make folks remember why they idolized him. Phil, not much chance of that.

Phil could have made $50 million a year from endorsements, been in the booth with Nantz, and still played all the PGA Tour and Champions Tour events he wanted. Hard to see how where he is now is better than where he was last year. And Phil has no one to blame but himself.

Not entirely true. I am no longer a Tiger fan.  Haven't been since his extensive infidelities. I've pretty much lost all respect for Phil as well.

Not really.  Never saw the allure.  Appreciated that he was very fan focused, generous with his time, and grew the game enormously.

I’d look at Phil sending pics to pats wife as answering an invitation.  Her look and actions are no more outlandish than Phil’s reply.  It’s a case of two wrongs trying to join forces.   
 

the real mystery is Pats misplaced outrage.  
 

 

and I say that having no earthly idea if any of it happened.
