What driver are you gaming for the 23' season?

New (to me) $180 CPO Epic Max LS… HZRDUS HC Red.
 

Back in game… 4 years post-injury, I got overfitted (and overspent) on “latest and greatest”… w/ my pre-injury late 20’s game/ SS in mind. 2023 is about shaking off this rust, to go get fit again confidently… and playing back to “my level”, w/ better focus on Indian > arrows.

G430 LST does not sit closed and some say sits open, but mixed feedback on forgiveness Sits nice and got prospects. Just need to find a 10.5 to demo

 

G430 Max may spin a fair bit more Gave me nothing more than my 410 plus. 

 

Standard Paradym may sit a little closed or be draw biased Face angle reminds me of Rogue ST max which was too draw biased. Results OK but not standout

 

Paradym TD is either the greatest driver ever made or the least forgiving This has got my attention. More testing needed but it reminds me of the old TP 510 but more forgiving

 

I guess I'll find out what I think soon as that's all that matters! LST, TD and TSR3 look like the short list

Sim Max. The head I got from WRX member Mikekim and I picked up a Riptide Blue CB shaft for it.  I cannot wait to try it maybe, in March if the groundhog doesn’t see his shadow on Thursday.

Stealth plus. I am in the low 180’s ball speed. I hit stealth 2. Nothing impressive. OG stealth plus looks feels and sounds better imo. It will take a lot to for TM to get it out of my hands next year

Will probably go back to my sim 2. Got it after I cracked my sim OG but never fell in love with it. Used a Mizuno STZ 220 all last year and it performed well, however, every time I pick up the sim 2 I hit the ball incredibly straight. Not as long as the STZ or sim og but straight. 

 

Will be testing it on a trip to texas in March and if it goes well that is the direction I'll be going all year

To be decided. Too cold to demo drivers as the ball drops out of the sky no matter who is hitting it. G430, Stealth, Srixon and new Mizunos to try. TSR demoed last year and still the favourite.

Strap broke on my bag and my Titleist 905R hit the cart path and snapped during my first round of the year.

 

Picked up a Ping G425 for a song, did not hit it as well as the Titleist in my first range session but hopefully will get the hang of it. If not we'll be seeing a lot of 3 iron off the tee this year...which I was hitting well at least.

I got a chance to use my buddy's G430 max on a course, which had a tighter dispersion compared to TSR2. (Distance difference about 3 yards - Ping was a bit shorter with stock Tour 2.0 shaft)

I hit 2 balls on Part 4/5 for direct comparison, however, this was just one round of experiment.

Going to go out and compare once more head to head this week or the next.

Wow;  seems like a lot of love for the TSR2.  Think I’m finally going to move on from my old faithful G10 after about 15 years.  Will go get fitted and will  likely look for a model with a bit more loft and shaft flex.  From what I have read,  it seems most models today should have added forgiveness as compared tothe G10.

How do you find the TR Black 5x? any thoughts after switching from LAGP shaft.

haven't swung it yet, just picked up last wk. from 'vending' test myself, Trono is WAY stiffer. exactly same weight, so i am also interested in how it will swing. will update soon.
