Nah.  I liked Miller and Faldo.  Azinger doesn't come close to their competence.

Golf is back on CBS this weekend and the following three events. After that not on CBS again until The Masters.

Absolutely not! Miller was the best. Zinger is antry hard. Faldo was good too. There is always someone who hates a certain announcer no matter what or what sport even.

Is there anyone worse at broadcasting golf than the boring inane Paul Azinger?  He has really nothing to add to the broadcast. NBC can do better.

Are there any lead analysts that people really like? Miller had plenty of haters, Faldo got his share of criticism, obviously Zinger gets plenty of it too. Seems like you’d have to go back to Venturi, Dave Marr, basically a full generation ago to find guys who at least seemed to be liked. And maybe they were hated too, I mean Roy “Tin Cup” McAvoy certainly had no problem throwing a shot a Ken V. 😂
 

I personally don’t have too strong of feeling either way towards the guys in that role. If they provide some useful insight thats great, but for the most part to me they almost become background noise for lack of a better term. I hear them, but I’m not focused on everything they’re saying.

The only person worse than Azinger was when Fox used  Greg Norman.

Fox wasn’t that bad, it’s because of them we get tracer on almost every shot. I think they also really emphasized the mic’s in the hole so maybe if your a JT fan you don’t like them.

FOX may have emphasized mic's in the hole during their short lived golf run however FOX was not the first to use mic's in the hole on tv.

I love Zinger! His puns and analogies are so ridiculous but it makes the broadcast more entertaining. I honestly like him better then Immelman on CBS
