Another brand new member with their first post on the site blasting a manufacturer.  Didn't have time to join here before and share knowledge and opinions prior to this?  PXG has always treated me very well and been responsive and fairly dealt with what I was asking for.

Just after I posted this PXG responded to my customer survey and will replace the putter. I’d be fine with a repair since I’m losing a $50 grip but I’m just glad they’re doing the right thing. This is a manufacturing defect but hopefully this one will last longer. I’m going to stick with them for now and not return the new 3 wood that was just delivered.

If ya wanna save yourself some trouble (and the $50 grip you refer to) why not just repaint the line yourself?

As you know, golfers are very particular about the look of their putters. I could never repaint that line perfectly.

For a couple of bucks you could find someone at a crafts store or a ceramic store or a painter, it'd be a lot cheaper than losing your $50 grip. Or if you're intent on having it replaced, why not have the expensive grip pulled before returning? Just my opinion.

I agree with you. I am very particular about the look of my putters. I could never be happy with playing your putter. A few bag dings and paint chips seen in your pictures would bother me more than having to touch up the white line and being concerned how that looks.

I bought my putter new back in 2005 and it is in better shape than you have kept yours.

If I was PXG I would have you send it back, touch up the line and send it back to you with your dings and wear marks.

It sounds like PXG is gonna give you a new putter. I wouldn't complain about the loss of the grip. You are getting a brand new putter for the cost of your grip at PXG's loss.

Thanks for all the replies. Not complaining about the grip. Just

glad to have faith in the company again. FYI: head over is on always. It may have bumped into my wedge in the way to the green but that’s it. I’m glad to see the loyalty you all have to PXG. Makes me feel better. Plus I like their stuff.

Guess so man, but to be totally honest, and by the look of your putter, doesn't seem like you're super into perfection. Couple decent dings on the top there.

might be just an easy fix and save that grip that you have on it.

The first thing I thought when I saw the pics but didn’t want to be “that guy” 😂

The fact that PXG has replaced this putter twice now despite your clear neglect is going above and beyond on their part

Not convinced it's a paint defect, could be from bag chatter, but if it is a defect it's not as simple as just repainting the bad sections yourself, the remaining paint will eventually chip out. To get a good bond you would have to strip all the remaining paint in the alignment line and start over.

You are upset about the paint line (understandable) but not upset with the dings on the top of the putter?  The loss of paint, given the dings make it seem like wear and tear to me rather than  a true defect.

And you will be hard-pressed to find anybody who is more anal-retentive about club appearance than me.

I was overzealous in my post.  Others above me posted similar comments about the dings. . If PXG replaced this more than once, they went way beyond what any OEM would be expected.
