I like the 243's the best, but will have to see in person for a final verdict.  They all look pretty damn nice!!

Not a fan but I'm not like most wrxer's. I like a bit more offset and a bit more of a square toe, I love the older blade style looks. For whatever reason, less offset and the spoony shape just doesn't do it for me. But from what I'm seeing, sounds like the 245 will be a hot item. Can't argue with the results on what Mizuno has done with the 245.

Are the 243 considered lower spin irons or no?

Nope.  Keep in mind spin is also a combination of speed, angle of attack, and ball choice.  It's unfair to really call any specific iron low or high spin without taking into account all other variables.

These modern shapes kill me. It looks like a dang wooden kitchen spoon. Give me a little offset and a squarer/sharper toe like the Titleist blade/older Mizuno mb's.

Then don’t buy them? Modern mizuno irons are all more rounded

Seems from mentions here and there that Mizuno is right where they want to be in terms of sales. Interesting how divided players are about different clubs in this line. The 41s are the only ones that really appeal to me, but the whole set looks like something modern and I imagine them being styles that will get people to pick them up and give them a try in stores or just order.

Well yes that's true but that doesn't mean I can't chime in with banter and being critical!! Lol.....I am interested in a 245 3 iron as a driving iron, maybe even the 4. I can stomach the shape. Never thought I'd see a day where I find a ping iron more appealing then a mizuno blade/cavity back. Those ping blueprint s at address look pretty sharp.

It’s smaller than 245. Both irons look great in hand.

I assume you mean 223.

While 243 might be smaller in topline or length, theres no denying that cavity looks THIIIIIIIIIIIIIC in the bag.

I telling you it’s smaller profile than the 245, and 243 looks great in hand. Coming from a Titleist fanboy.

At first I didn’t like the back, but in hand it looks way nicer than I expected.

The 243 cavity is reasonably deep and the sole in 7i to 4i is pretty wide even though they use a wrap around sole. Honestly, this is what happens when you don’t resort to using tungsten as part of your weighting strategy.

Agree and I'm a Titleist fanboy myself. I was stunned at how good these looked in hand. The pictures don't do them justice.

Effective sole on the 243 looked very close to my T100-S. It's beveled on the back and I know it's looks thick in the pictures (as did the topline of the 245), but everything's thinner in person, I promise.

What's that about the camera adding 10 pounds? Maybe the pictures add some millimeters. Lol.

I think these look excellent. Never been a big mizuno guy but these got my attention. Heard great things about those 245. Mizuno has always had rounded edges. Ping and pxg are more squared off lines. So they look as expected.

They haven't always been as rounded as they are now. But to your point, they've been rounder for a good while but earlier sets like Mp14 and 29s were much more squared, especially in the mid and long irons. Pics of both. But, everyone's eye and taste is different, a squarer look for whatever reason makes me feel like I can really thump the ball on the sweet spot, it just fits my eye.

Correct. I guess I meant more so in my golf years lol I’m in my 20’s so from my memory, I only remember rounded mizuno. I agree, I personally prefer square lines. Hence why I’m a ping/pxg fan. But can’t argue the feel and performance of a mizuno!

Had a chance to hit the 243 and 245 indoors this afternoon.

Look and feel great! (as expected).  I really want to like the 243s but there was something in the 245 that just... felt even better?  Found a similar result with the 223/225 last year.

I was getting 5ish yards more carry out of the 245.  If I was ordering I would weaken lofts.

Last, the 245 didn't seem much bigger (vs 243) at all.  My main complaint with my current HMBs is the size.  Nice that Mizuno can pack a bunch of tech into that small a profile.

Both will be big winners for Mizuno this year.
