I got mine yesterday. I’ll compare vs my OG blue on the Trackman potentially this afternoon if I get time.

Hit another Parlay pinged JD & he sent me a invoice yesterday.

Should have mine next week, but our run a good weather will over.

Paired with my 430 10K, I’m impressed. Played the TR Blue last year and the OG Blue prior to the TR.

Like it better than the tr blue?

Callaway already has this shaft available.

Taylormade doesn't.

Get it together Taylormade.

For those who own/have tested, does this profile more as a whiteboard and not a blue as the name would imply?

I ordered an AD VF, but the seller sent the 2024 Ventus…trying to decide if maybe I should just glue up the tip instead of asking to exchange.

Already got some input from phizzy, but would love to hear some more feedback.

Pretty much what is to be expected. Better feel, and slightly better numbers. Looking forward to hitting it.

You mean better feel, identical numbers.

All they needed to tell me was the feel is improved. This stuff about hitting the center of the the club face more and more ballspeed I’m just not buying.

Don’t get me wrong. I’ll probably buy the shaft. But I’m just not a fan of the marketing.

As an aside. Notice how nobody seems to compare new vs last years drivers anymore on YouTube. Maybe because the Oems don’t want people to know there’s no improvement and told the YouTubers to cut it out.

A credible tour rep told me 2-3mph more ball speed on average is what they’re seeing.

Sounds like they merged the best parts of Ventus and Ventus TR.

Absolutely ready to pull the trigger but the specs got me thinking:

 1. I’m currently swinging average 107mph (Foresight numbers) and gaming the Ventus TR 6S

 2. I know when I swing a lighter shaft I’ll be faster so should I get Ventus 2024 in 5X? 58g and a slight bit stiffer. Seems like the golden choice

Anyone able to test these 2 will have my blessings 😅

This is definitely accurate because it’s about 5g lighter so your club speed increases too. Doesn’t even need to be a ventus to get those numbers.

Sounds like you’ve got it figured out! 🤦🏻‍♂️ Let me know when you’re starting your tour build business with the guys and gals out there.

What would be the consensus amongst you guys regarding the similarities of a TR Red 6X vs the new Velo+ Blue 5X? I would think with the lighter shaft the new blue at 5X may have similar launch and spin yet give an increase in ball speed due to the lighter shaft. Thoughts?

Thank you, but that is very Un-GolfWrx of you to suggest not buying a shaft and waiting a couple of months to properly test new shafts. I NEED you to tell me to go ahead and buy the new shaft untested! 😂

My new ai Smoke Max and 2024 Ventus 5x arrived this morning and I took them to the range, along with my current gamer Rogue ST Max with Accra FX 3.0 M0 ("Canadian Autoflex"). Both are 10.5 heads.

In theory my 110ish SS should work for the 5X, but I guess this is what happens when you get used to an Autoflex style shaft; the Ventus felt like a pole. I started off hitting flat fades i.e. low slices. The Rogue and Accra were producing the usual high draw.

I then put the Accra into the Smoke and it was instantly better. I also tried the Ventus in the Rogue and it produced tight fades. There is no doubt that for me the Rogue head is draw biased and the Smoke is neutral fade biased (at least in comparison). The Accra shaft is high/draw biased for me and the Ventus was low/fade. With the sliding weight in the draw position I turned the Smoke/Ventus slice into more a playable fade.

I left the range feeling like the Smoke was an improvement on the Rogue but a bit disappointed in the Ventus and feel like I should have got the 5S. I generally like softer shafts relative to my SS but was worried (most likely incorrectly so) that the 5S would be too soft.

Maybe it's simply a case of having to get used to a stiffer shaft again after playing with a noodle for so long, I'll give it a few more range sessions and want to see how it goes on the course.
