Undercover Caddie: My player wouldn’t stop cheating, so I quit

Anyone have ideas on who it might be?

 

Some of the hints from the article:

Lots of wins, no majors. Started out in Europe and home country is not the US. Probably played in the 70s and 80s maybe 90s given caddie saying nobody under 40 would know the player's name. Caddie quit on him after a tournament in Florida

Man, that's Krazee; I also would like to know who the caddie is talking about.  Guess we'll never know, but it just shows us the many subtle ways players can gain any edge they can.

Gross people act this way. I was disgusted the first time I saw a kid cheat during a middle school golf day camp and it never gets better. These type of people are losers and can't even be honest with themselves.

That being said, if someone is writing a tattletale article and won't sign their name to it?  It's not worth thinking about.

I know a guy that fired his player, but that was a long time ago, and my friend has passed away. By the way, the player was South African, playing on the PGA Tour.

Yeah i kinda had the same reaction. I mean i'm not like "hey everyone go cheat" but marking your ball a bit to the side, matting down the rough.....etc.

 

So basically what every single other player does. I watched Kenny Perry basically take a weed whacker behind his ball in the rough in a playoff many years ago on live TV . 

 

Tim Dillon made a great joke about failing comedians a while back who refuse to stoop here and there for a laugh. 

 

He said maybe start stooping. 

 

This caddy probably should've just taken the money.

I'm working on it, it's called "Gutsy" and it's about my rise from upper middle class to slightly higher upper middle class.

This should be very easy to sort out or at least narrow down very substantially.  Guys that were multiple winners and generally successful on tour and also played in Europe to get going but were not actual Euros?  Short list I bet.

You gotta put the years of your adult film industry experience in there.  I know you are trying to protect your image, but, the only the book goes from where it is now to being read before it gets rejected, you're going to have to take the blinders off.

So this is actually a true story......the whole "that was the name of the adult film i starred in while in college" joke started at my first job, where i worked for 17 years, and spanned from my time as entry level all the way to senior director. I had a friend who kept a notebook of all of them, which i kinda knew about but didn't know the full story

 

When i resigned and left the company. At my farewell party he read them all aloud over the course of a few hours. There was over 500 of them

 

It was hilarious and very touching. 

 

Also, "it was hilarious and very touching" is the name of the adult film i starred in while in college

Always a player I enjoyed watching back in my teens, but I remember him best for his impressive ballstriking and occasional temper tantrums.

Interesting article, maybe a tad unpleasant facing humanity.  Thanks for the post. 

 

Don't have any idea who it might have been, except that the caddy made the "right" choice.  Amazing the extent some people will go to get further ahead, not recognizing that they are idiots who don't know wrong from right.

So if this unknown caddie options a film to GC called, “I Refused To Go Another Hole”, does 2+2 = you as the unknown caddie?
