It is tough to reason or even have an adult conversation with certain people that are mods on this site. Some of the mods aren't even the legal drinking age, not surprised by this in the least.

I will say that I know Scratch personally and consider him to be a friend.. I tell him that he does get a [i]little[/i] carried away and wrapped up in WRX drama too much from time to time.. I know I am guilty of that as well, and we all are. Scratch's sarcasm is definitely lost on many people on here and sometimes (in this case) he definitely took the bait and went a little too far.. but Scratch also contributes a great deal of knowledge on here, and I think that has been lost during heated internet banter which forces the Mods to take a stand and a side for the good for the membership. Context and background get lost when Mods are probably just responding to reported posts and then dealing with them just to clear queue. There are many members on here, both tenured and new, who have nothing better to do than to bait others into arguments just for the sake of arguing, across multiple threads, to multiple members. These members typically fly under the radar since technically they aren't violating any rules, but it also doesn't make this type of behavior acceptable. Hopefully Scratch returns to posting, he is one of the few members who's reviews and input I trust on here, unfortunately that number has been declining over the years and I wish a lot of great members/posters came back to WRX.

I don't post that much on WRX but I do spend a fair amount of time reading what others have to say. I also like to read what Scratch has to say, he's one of about a dozen or so WRX'ers whose posts I read on a regular basis and it would be unfortunate if he didn't come back... WRX needs more like him.

I really like Scratch and enjoy his presence on WRX. That being said, don't be a martyr. Even if you think you're in the right, I doubt an apology is in order. Obviously, we want you back contributing to the site. So if your timeout is up, wash your hands and be done with it.

having read and at times posted some of the most ridiculous comments ever heard here or anywhere else and not been suspended I find it shocking that Scratch got a timeout for any of the posts I read... The insults etc that go on in the blade s CB debate alone can see 10X worse than that any given day... at what point will the Mods realize that certain contributors are very good for the site and provide the content that keep the site alive... They may need a warning from time to time..but a blind suspension is uncalled for unless we are talking racial slurs or Hate speech.... This was tongue in cheek sarcasm ...very obvious at that.... Just stupid in my opinion ....and what was accomplished? Long time member lost in favor of a relative newbie who may or may not stay and contribute...

My understanding (that come from an earlier post in this thread) is that the ban has long been over. However, in order to re-enter the forum, there is a pop-up box that you have to click, which states that you acknowledge your wrong doing and that you won't do it again.

That's the rub. He is a man of principle. As such, he refuses to acknowledge that he did anything wrong because he doesn't believe that he did. Can't blame him.

[size=4]I want to thank everyone for all the kind words…. I have met a lot of great people on WRX that I consider friends and for that I am grateful. I don't want to say too much but the MODs on here should learn to handle situations on a case by case scenario.

Fathers day is a great day for all fathers and it really gives you a chance to sit back and recollect. Just so happening to fall on Sunday of the US Open it gives you a chance to think about golf and GolfWRX, with that said these are my thoughts since my time off.

1) Beggars that will do anything for the next handout.

2) Fanboys that will defend a golf club to the death and get sold on colors or paint.[/color][/size]

3) Liars that want to be "cool" and they think low scores and WITB updates will make them accepted.

5) Guys with way too much time on their hands that over analyze everything and will always make an argument. Often they have good points but most of the time they have way too much to say.[/color][/size]

6) Guys actually honest about their game and want real feedback/reviews and actually play golf. Saddly this is the minority.
