Yes... scratchswinger got catfished on WRX...

They decided to finally meet at the local course.... told him he was a 1 handicap with cool clubs but when he showed up he was actually a 12 with OTR sticks!! Turns out the dude was just stealing pictures from other peoples clubs on the net and actually hi-jacked a local single digit handicap player's (that he knew very well) GHIN account number with verified tournament scores so scratch had no reason to think he was lying. BUT then he had to see for himself because he wouldn't actually send video of his swing and that's when he grew suspicious and asked for the help of Nev... He got scratchswinger with the perfect setup by falsifying GHIN records and fake WITB photos... brutal... coming to MTV soon guys.

I believe he is off suspension but he does not want to "accept" that he was wrong to remove said suspension. He is not willing to admit guilt for a crime he did not commit. I am just the messenger.

Guess I can see where the mods would take issue with the combination of handicap snobbery and trolling, but not sure the punishment fits the crime. Do miss his more constructive contributions to the forum, that's for sure.

Agreed... the way the mods run this place is getting a bit ridiculous.

It doesn't matter if someone has been a long time, contributing member of this community. It's all "what have you done for me lately?" Slap a ban on Scratch, with no warning, for something borderline at worst? I don't blame him for being peeved about it.

Let's not forget that the posts on this forum are written... using text. They are not delivered verbally, with emotion and inflection. Because of this, it's not very hard to misinterpret something once in a while. We've all done it. However, shouldn't members like Scratch (this is a 10,000+ post guy, for goodness sake) be given the benefit of the doubt once in a while.

Not sure what's wrong with some of the mods on here, but they seem to have a very difficult time remembering that they are human... and fallible. Just because they have the ability to click buttons that we don't, doesn't mean that their opinion is fact.

I think said member was pretty critical in scratch's thread about not watching the masters if Tiger doesn't play, and honestly I never really saw eye to eye with said members posts so I don't blame scratch at all. I very much want to see SS back, just saying he's given the mods plenty of ammo over the course of months to take the course of action that they chose. Also not asserting that either side is in the right or wrong, just trying to be a fair observer.

Does anyone know how rare single digit handicaps actually are? I don't belong to a private club... I play public courses. If I only spoke to single digit handicaps, I'd have 3 friends and I wouldn't have spoken to my Dad in over 4 years.

Actually, in order for SS to respond to any of my comments, had to provide my last 10 tournament scores, photos of tour serial numbers on all woods, then still had to get A.D. to custom grind a raw 60-V for me! (This, for those lacking humor, is what we refer to as sarcasm). Scratch, best wishes to you and your ohana whether you decide to participate again actively or not! Unfortunately, in order for this situation to be rectified, it's probably going to take a mod to step up, swallow their pride and admit they overreacted to a situation.

Good luck with that... these guys are worse than MLB umpires. They are the first to hold others accountable for their actions, but as soon as it's time to be accountable for their own, they disappear into the shadows and pretend like nothing ever happened.
