Looks like a carbon shank/soleplate (not sure technical term, if it were a boot it would be called a shank). Often used for increased stability/reduction of torque/twisting. Benefits, light and solid under foot feel.

The shape of the sole is a little square for my tastes but beyond that, it seems like more the same and why would it not be, these are a massive seller for FJ and I would guess that they would continue to be.

Nice! The heel is interesting, but at least the upper finally doesn’t look like a bowling shoe. I have 2 pairs of previous model. I love them. Looking forward to these.

Love my ProSL! Grab better then my cleated shoes. That Carbon version looks great! Nice added stability to a spikeless shoe. Can’t wait to grab a pair!

The inner heel material was based on a suggestion by Adam Scott to incorporate the same material as in the DNA's, it's more cushioned than the SL's previous model.

Has anyone worn the carbon version yet? I hate to say it, but I think the carbon under foot starts to hurt after walking about 9 holes. I had the previous version and they were xtrememly comfortable. The carbon version KILLS my feet. The only thing I can think is that the carbon shank is so stiff. Anyone else had issues?

I wonder if cushioning is the same in both models (SL and SL Carbon) and if the carbon inlay provides a better stability despite a stiffer sole?
