I am not a huge Reed fan, but people need to let stuff go... It's golf. It wasn't long ago Americans were fully behind this guy, so much so that an American fan yells "suck my D---!" at Rory in the Ryder cup during his match against Reed, AKA, Captain America. If this is still about the sand sweeping incident, the guy was penalized, took it and moved on. He does come off as kind of a DB but be a big enough person/fan to keep your mouth shut and let the past be the past. If he can't help himself from cheating in the future then maybe the tour needs to get involved but fans screaming out opinions is as old as Lincoln's top hat.

They said he had a terminator mentality as a frontrunner like Tiger. It was a pretty big jinx, and then sure enough he started leaking oil right after they said it. I'm glad he was able to fight through some adversity and get the victory in the end. It was a pretty wild finish!

That’s a very good point. I’m not justifying what the fan did as that was wrong, but in a team event Reed happily brought it up to try and wind the crowd up.

 

If this is anything like the Kuch caddy payment this could haunt him for a year, although I suspect he’s simply that arrogant he won’t care anyway.

Reed hasn't been bothered by it yet, and I think his personality and competitiveness will use the negative commentary from fans as fuel to get even more fired up to win.

I like JT. Glad he won the playoff today. However that comment from the GC crew at this point in time in JT's career has no basis in reality. However I guess the comment did it's job as we are discussing it.

Nothing about that ball flight was anywhere near a straight line. It was a giant hook.

I agree, I'm a JT fan and he's impressive but talking about him in those kind of terms is ridiculous.

For example, it was just under 1 year ago that JT blew a big lead at the Genesis Open. He had a 4 shot 54-hole lead and if memory serves me correctly he may have increased that early in the final round but still managed to lose.

Bingo. Some people need to watch the video of the actual tee shot and approach shot from the PGA Tour web site and not depend upon a static graphic from the PGA Tour that shows every shot as nothing but a straight line. Multiple articles have noted that JT hit a big hook on his approach on the 18th hole in regulation. Would love to see an actual factual explanation from those claiming otherwise. It won't happen.

I never said it was a straight line. The picture I clipped was just to show the location of the shots on the hole. I've watched the video and it's obvious he hit a hook I just think he dropped too close to the green.
