Hey bro, awesome job. One question I have is how do you think the 913 would have done against these new set ups?
It would have finished middle of the pack, I have hit the D3 side by side with the 460/430 setups on the course. Good for good, it's shorter and the misses spin way more. I could still use without reservation, but the 460 is much better for me, the D3 is more accurate than the 430, so I probably would pick it over the 430 but not the 460.

Thanks Tai. I just love the look of the Titleist so much. Really hope the 915 line is lower spin

I wonder how a BBA would have done w/ a Rogue in it.
Probably would still be close. Remember, the BBA had a slight tail wind and shaft was a little longer. Normalized, the BBA is 6 yards behind the 460's normalized numbers. I think if I did an actual full fitting with each head, the numbers would be very close with both, they are both REALLY good. I am sticking with the SLDR for a few reasons, the main one being I like the looks better and I like the way the rest of the line performs.

I'm a big Titleist fan as well, love pretty much everything they make. Other OEM's just release product so much faster than Titleist, which is either a good or bad thing depending on what is being released. Recent releases have really stepped it up, hoping the 915 incorporates a little bit more performance and keeps the classy looks.

Tai, great post and awesome seeing all of your numbers! I thought the Fourteen would be up there based really on the accuracy portion--did you get dispersion numbers to track? From the "sky view" it looked like the GeLong was the most accurate.

One drive that I absolutely obliterated did not register :( Those dots on the chart are accurate, they represent the 3 best "usable" shots hit, so the Gelong I hit 6-7 balls to get those 3. The numbers aren't based of 3 that were nuked.. just 3 that I would be happy to play.

The 661 will tend to have more of a load feel to it, closer to the ATX green. The Rogue is a little more boardy feeling but still smooth, it just has less of the load sensation the 661 has. The 661 in the 460 head was VERY straight, a great performing shaft.

I would be interested to see the BBA with rogue against the 460 with rogue. I know you don't care for Callaway though so I doubt it matters for your personal sake. Great write up as always

I don't care for the #hypehastagoverload. I think Callaway's products are great, just fit and finish consistency isn't where I think it should be for that price. The numbers I posted speak for themselves :) BBA performed fantastic!

Good job man! When are you going to test 3 woods?

I was able to watch a few of the sessions, here are a few things that I noticed.

Rouge: on shots with side spin the ball starts moving to the side and then it straightens out. The other shafts continue moving to the side for a longer amount of time.

BBA: Flight is awesome and the performance is a hybrid between the 430/460.

i25: Sound is very tingy compared to the other drivers.

Nike: spin and flight is noticeable different (higher) misses spin like a top.

GeLong: it's much lower launch than the others, seems like a though driver to play, would have to go up in loft.

The 661 and BB are both awesome shafts, Fuji is more mid launch and low spin with better feel. BB is more low/low with a stiffer tip and is better if you want to keep the ball from going left.

Then how do you deal with face paint and cartoons explaining the technology sponsored by Dick's Sporting Goods?!? Lol we all have our own opinions, but I would love to try the rogue. I have a Nunchuk in my BBA and love what I am seeing. 12 degree SLDR with a Nunchuk would be pretty sweet as well but I just bought Nunchuk iron shafts so I am broke!

What's the putter swag like this year? Any new additions coming soon?

Thanks for posting the results and going through the testing. I tested out the CT2.0 for a couple of months as well, and just couldn't seem to get it to perform consistently. Yeah, there'd be some I'd hit solid, but then overall, it just didn't seem to perform as I was expecting. Returned it to RD with their 90 day guarantee, and happened to find a 460 SLDR with a 661 on the used rack, and looking brand new. Sweet. Turns out somebody had ordered it, and couldn't hit it, so they returned it. Their loss, my gain. Promptly picked it up, and through 3 rounds, have found this to be a straighter, consistently longer, and slightly more forgiving setup than the stock CT2.0. Really glad to have found this setup, which performed very well in your test.

Thanks again. Maybe one of these days I can catch a round with you and the TCC guys...

Really appreciate you doing this, Tai! Does the Rogue shaft come in a stiff or just a TX?

As of right now the rogue is tour issue only so it only comes in TX, just like the atx green/blue 85/95/105.

Amazing shoutout tai!! Thanks for all your hard work you put in to compare all the heads and shafts.

It makes me wonder if I should just put the pro 73 TS up on BST when I get it this week and pick up a 661/757 instead.

I am also interested in when your going to test 3 woods cause right now I'm stuck trying to decide what shaft to go with. I've been looking at the atx blue 75/85, 757 or BB7. I can't wait to see how the 3W numbers turn out :)

The Covert Tour is an interesting club. I have seen a few people hit it that literally could not miss with it, very straight and low spin. I had a few good rounds with it, but when compared with some of the other offerings, I think there is a gap in consistent performance. Like I mentioned before, I think Nike needs to make something based off the Performance head with the MOI/CG of the tour head and lower the spin further across the face. Finding a SLDR with 661 at RD's is like striking gold!

Based on the specs I saw of the Pro 73 (not sure on the TS) I went with the 661/757 instead. I think the 757 could be a little better for me in the driver than the 661, but the 661 was a really solid shaft. 3 wood test?!?! Not sure about that one.. I will be [s]testing[/s] instantly buying the SLDR Mini 14˚, I might try to get it on the Trackman, but more importantly I think it could be a game changer for me on the course.

It really is a top notch facility and company. Everything that they sell has been thoroughly tested by their staff and has to make the cut before it ever gets into the fitting rotation. Their builds are second to none, tons of PGA staffers have their equipment assembled there (even an active legend). Everything that they have ever built me has been perfect.
