Yep, lack of alignment line and plumber's neck jive with me.  I like the thickness of the Select Newport blade with the non-deep milling.  Very soft, muted feel, but still solid.  I switched to the BeCu Anser from the Newport.  It also lacks an alignment line as well.

My current 3 putters are all different but I seem to get similarly good result (I guess that is the fun but frustrating part of golf or I just suck equally)

 

A Scotty Kombi S - face balance mallet at 35 with headweight 335g, narrow pistol grip, has fly mill face

 

A Studio Select Newport - 33.5 with head weight of 360g, slightly wider but still narrow grip, has fly mill face

 

A Mizuno Bettinardi BC6 - 34 with head weight 343g, superstroke 3.0 slim fat grip for those fat days, has Fit Face

Even after 30/40 years, still one of the best feeling putters. Goes nicely with my Anser 2.

I think it's his last great OTR

was cool to see him go back to one piece a couple lines ago, but this one is still better in my opinion

also pretty sure this was the last naked newport, i wish he would go back to that as well

It is. I am surprised I don’t see many on the open market, but maybe it also because people know it was so good they don’t let go.

 

it is the bridge between all his good OTR putters beforehand that had the static weight and his later works which were mass produced that had deeper milling and adjustable weight that lacked some of the critical feeling.

I played golf on vacation over Christmas with a set of rental clubs with an Odyssey 2-Ball Ten putter. I immediately connected with it (making a 45-footer with 15 feet of break on the second hole didn’t hurt) and when I got back, I bought one to compare it to my gamer, a 2022 Scotty Phantom X5, and it was clearly superior for me. Finally got a chance to game it today and have zero regrets. The Scotty is on the BST and the 2-Ball is in the bag.

Went to pick up 2 shafts getting adapters swapped. Decided to grab a spider ex slant neck and promptly rolled 5 straight 10 footers in the center.

 

5 hours later I was an ebay auction winner. Idk what's wrong with me...lol

She knows I buy and sell all the time. She doesn't care. But she knows the difference between a putter and everything else and she'll give me a hard time about buying a putter. I hope it's no good So i can sell it. If it's good and I put it in the bag then I'll eventually tell her I'm happy with it and then she'll give me more grief....

Odyssey Ten 2-Ball Tour Lined S Strokelab… damn that name is a mouthful haha.  Just put this in the bag in the bag and loving it so far. Been a big fan of the TM Spider X flow neck for a few years. The two ball with the tour line is really suiting my eye. And the microhinge star insert has a nice feel, slightly more crisp than the TM PureRoll insert.

Couldn’t pass this one up for $40 at Golf Galaxy…. especially since I applied $40 worth of points credit towards it! $18 out the door with the new grip!

LAB golf DF 2.1 custom with ACCRA shaft. I tried over 20 putters and Club Champion and the fitter said try this one, I look at it and said that is the ugliest putter I have ever seen, he said try it and the rest is now history. It is totally different than everything else.

Got lucky as well with it coming in a day early while my wife was at work.....

 

I know this one wasn't super popular as most Limited releases, but it is one of my favorite releases and one of the few that actually fits my putting stroke.

Yeah I am loving the no sight line/dot is so pure and loving it but using a Scotty mallet as alternate I am loving the huge sight line lol

I looked for one a while and low and behold a local banker guy I went to school with had it on FB Market via his wife! Needless to say I snagged it! Stoked for sure!

Added color. Didn’t like naked on the face and cavity. Used clear coat on bottom to just keep dirt away from the lettering to mimic naked look.

 

Dollarama nail polish. The red is more shiny in real life as it has glitter inside. The camera doesn’t capture properly

Fell in love with all of it. The feel and sound off of the deep milled face, the grey finish and how the light reflects off of it, the milling on the backside of the head and even the headcover lol. Don’t mind my boy in the background (no I don’t hunt)

Not new but my old NP2 had a damaged and bent hosel, and a local refinisher had just chopped off a Tei3 neck to do a flow neck for somebody else, so he welded this nice new neck on for me. It’s gun blue as opposed to the PP on the rest of the putter, but I like it as it’s a gamer anyway and nobody else has the same putter. It also brought the head weight up to 344 so with a tip weight it’s just like the modern head weights but with the classic feel. Win win.

Those beads look better than a lot of those I've seen from SC.  That's a cool putter.
