If you can't give us a "fair assessment" a couple of weeks before the event.....I'd say by definition it's doubtful he's going to play!! What a double talking piece of cr@p.

 

I agree with a lot of the other posts. Steiny may have made tiger a Lot of money over the years negotiating deals but he hasn't handled the press or his public persona worth a sh!t.

Steiny has been PR nightmare since 2009 - and likely an enabler before that. Never knows when to keep it zipped or the right thing to say when he opens it.

 

I've always felt bad Tiger got tied up with him - could have been different with some better guidance.

from the sounds of the reports from the agent we can expect to see him there. if not why make all the fuss ? like others have said either be open and honest or expect people to speculate .

Tiger's health is what it is: He either will or won't tee it up in Augusta next month and speculating about it doesn't change that in any way.

 

It's not like tennis or football or hockey or other sports where you don't want your opponents to know where you're weak or hurting or they'll exploit that. It's golf. Nothing DJ or the others can do differently if Tiger's back is better or worse.

 

They'd be better off to give a weekly update on a blog or Twitter or FB. Good or bad doesn't matter, just feed the public's interest.

A lot of sh*t comes out of Steiny. The guy talks out of both sides of his mouth. He can't be trusted at all. These are all attributes of a really good sports agent. They know exactly what they are doing. I believe all of this has been carefully scripted from the beginning.

 

They have a plan to keep Tiger relevant even when he's not anymore.

Steiny's statement was completely circular, from everything is fine to we'll see. He avoided, clumsily, the question concerning Tiger's rehab, and the state of his game. Tiger may show up at the Masters for the champions dinner, but he cannot be deluded enough to think he can play the tournament.

The fact that his agent will not talk about hitting balls or putting at this time means that he is doing just that.

 

If you do not comment on the back and your game is not where it should be you just say the back is not ready .

 

Say your game is pretty good , you just show up and say I am back , rehab went well .

 

My take is here will be there no doubt.

His is exactly right. Nothing but a yes man. Since 09 steinberg has shown he is incapable of giving TW sound advice. If he could ever tell tiger NO, he'd be A better agent. But he doesn't because it's his cash cow and its how he's relevant

He's not going to play. If the spasms were a momentary setback, we'd be hearing from him. But spasms are symptoms of an underlying abnormality. His back's just not holding up. I think he's done for a long while if not the rest of the season, if not the rest of the decade.

 

Very sad because when Tiger was on, it was electric watching him perform under pressure. Only Jack loved pressure as much as Tiger.
