Noreen is better in a way. It´s actually Norén, with the emphasis on the last vocal. And how that vocal is really pronounced, I couldn´t find an english word with a vocal similar, but ee comes rather close.

 

I really hope Noren wins!

I didn't get any sleep at all, was up all night cheering for Alex! He's such a nice guy and has done so much for Swedish golf. He has also put in an absolute tremendous amount of work the last few years, and it's great to see that it's paying off.

 

He's obviously been very successful on the EuropeanTour, but how cool would it be if he manages to win his first start as a member of the PGA Tour?!

 

Day would be a worthy champion, but man I hope Alex gets it done!

Alex showed a lot of patience. To pull of that shot, under all that pressure, after waiting around that long was impressive.

My takeaways from the tournament:

 

Pluses -

1) Me, for getting plenty of exercise running back and forth from my plumbing project to the tv to catch shots (at my parent's, who don't have dvr)

2) Tiger, for managing a near top 20 finish despite a balky driver, dropping mortar rounds all over the course. Impressive short game, especially considering where it was at last year, and impressive overall as this is his first full field tournament in a year.

3) Jason Day, for fighting off a bad back and showing up when his game has been in the doldrums for quite some time. Also, Palmer and Noren, for grinding out a tie.

4) Torrey Pines grounds super for ensuring the course was in great shape

 

Minuses -

1) Get in the hole guy. Nuff said for him and the rest of the lot.

2) Potter, Lefty, Rahm, etc. Welp. Tough game, golf.

3) JB, for choosing to not go Roy McAvoy on 18. Lefty wouldn't have hesitated to go for it, which is one reason he has 42 wins.

4) The result of my plumbing project, for which I had to apologize to my parents.
