I love The Open, but having OB ten feet left of the 18th green, when all that's there is grandstands, seems a tad over the top.

That OB isn't realistically in play for the best players in the world. You can miss the green a yard left and go OB at 18 at Carnoustie with these conditions. Feels very contrived.

what's to disagree with ? it's the boundary of the course that's been there for over 100 something years. you're advocating moving the OB b/c it's (in your opinion) too close to the green based on the conditions of the course during this open.
