Im not feeling it, engraving too large, dent in the neck still there, too boring as I know that doesn't mean they won't do well but I like the the looks of the i200 better.

Some foam like substance on the inside would help a lot with feel if that's an issue. Maybe they didn't want to get sued by PXG.

these are on my list of must hits -- cleaner than PXG, and more 'meaty' than the P790...like it.

The i210 will have the dent in the neck as well. All the ping irons have that. They aren’t going to get rid of that as it makes changing the lofts and lies easier on cast clubs.

Will be interesting to see the head to head of these i500 vs T-MB....clone battle!

Frankly, I did not think the T-MB felt good at all and was more hard/harsh feeling....same design by Ping w/i500.

 

Both use a cast body of 17-4 stainless steel and hardened steel faces.

Our demo heads for these and the I210 just turned up half an hour ago. After the 'bounce' test they feel...clicky. I210 feels a hair better, but they don't feel outstanding. That said, not hit them yet!

That’s because it’s still Sunday or something at ping headquarters. They are in the same time zone as Hawaii or something. The rest of Arizona is mountain half the year and pacific the other half. But ping moves to Hawaii time on the day of product releases.

Now that I have hit these twice, i am quite sure I will be sticking with my iblades, at least until the iblade replacement comes out.......That being said, I am sure there will be a large market for these although they may not suit a lot of the folks who may be thinking they are for them......

Are you thinking these probably won’t suit the iBlade/blade user type player as well as those particular players may have hoped?

In all the reviews I’ve seen, forgiveness is mentioned with the i500, not the i210. Also, for whatever it’s worth, Ping’s official placement for the i500 in their product lineup is between the i210 and the G400. From what reviews are out there, it sounds like the i500 offers more forgiveness than the i210. I don’t think it’s anything drastic though.

I like how Mark Crossfield, in his i500 review, pulls a 7 iron on a 150-yard hole to hit a fade against an arguably non-existent wind (he averaged nearly 170 carry in his "dry ball" testing). He flat out stripes it, hits it over the green (12-15 yards past his target) and blames it on the club. Priceless.
