No worries! Your post did make me ponder the specifics though, which was good.

 

I called today, here’s the answer:

 

If you play the Preserve first, you will be charged the full greens fee for the Preserve. Your next round will then be charged at the full non-replay greens fee. Your third round is then completely free (not a replay rate, free).
 

Applying this to my trip in June, the first round at the Preseve will be $120, and the second round at Bandon Trails will be $325. The third round at Bandon Dunes will be free. 

The booking agent caveated this by saying you must finish all holes of the Preserve and your second round to get the third round free. For example, you can’t book and pay for the Preserve and not show up in an attempt to save a few extra bucks by paying the Preserve rate and a full 18 hole rate instead of a full 18 hole rate plus 18 hole replay rate. That policy makes sense to me.

Interesting, thanks for sharing.  For reference, this is not what was done at Sand Valley.  I get that they are separate resorts, I just would've assumed they had similar policies.

 

Labor Day weekend this year;

1st Day we played Sandbox then Sand Valley.  Both rounds were full price.

2nd Day we played Sandbox, then Mammoth, then Sand Valley one day.  SV was 1/2 price, Sandbox wasn't on bill.

3rd day we played Sand Valley, Sandbox, and Mammoth.  Sandbox wasn't on bill, and Mammoth was 1/2 price.

What a view! Anyone stayed at Windemere on the Beach? Got a King cottage for 4 of us at the end of February, staying there for 1 night before checking in to the resort.

That is a riot. In fairness I come home with a 5 or 6 pencils and handful of ball marks I GIVE to anyone who wants them.

I might have 25-30 ball marks and I've given away more than a few. They gave us a bag of them at every course we played. I like them, wanted to keep a set but man I have a ton of them lol.

I've been going out there in November for eight years now and this was the first frost delay I've seen. We had 8:30 and 8:40 on Old Mac for Monday and were pushed out to 9:50 and 10:00, so we all hit the road instead. (This was a "bonus" round on departure day, booked at the last minute because the weather was so incredible. So it wasn't a huge loss, all things considered.)

Crossing was really good. Back 9 especially. Great for $55 or $155.

Thanks for the pics and the update!! That’s good news on the conditions.  Will be heading out on Saturday morning and playing Sunday -Friday.  Day 1 is crossing and very stoked to hear that the conditions were that good!! Enjoy the rest of the trip.

Damn looks like I'm missing the perfect weather (outside the frost) by a week, great pics! My trip starts tomorrow playing crossings monday morning before heading to the resort tuesday-saturday.

Just got back today - 10 rounds in 6 days. Every day started  off in the 40s and ended up in the 60s. ZERO RAIN. As a single got paired with some great groups. Played SR, BD and PD twice and the other courses once. Wish I had played OldMac again. The sunsets were gorgeous.

Got a group of 16 going playing Mac and preserve once and the rest twice. Weather looks pretty good now
