Anyone have ideas as possible cut so far? +1, +2? Just curious. I know it depends on tomorrow but the broadcast isn't on for another half hour and I finished my TPS Reports early so I'm bored.

I have spent a lot of time in Charleston, but I never played this course. I must admit I don't know a lot about the women's tour, but i am really enjoying watching them play, and seeing this course.

Looks like conditions are getting tougher. There are only 4 players in the late wave that are under par.

no offense to the south carolinians here but this course on tv looks like the 5th best muni in my local city course rotation .. very forgettable .. and for a US open?

I think she's already committed to the Bulldogs... She's definitely someone up and coming... Her teammates in Philippine women's golf know much better than me and I think she'll at least be with the Bulldogs for a year... I'm actually rooting for Bianca Pagdanganan to make it to Q-School and advance to LPGA proper. Tough out there but I think her game is pro material ready truth be told. As her coach said, Fassi and Kupcho are obviously fantastic, but Pagdanganan deserves mention too.

I tend to agree with you. It might be great in person, but it’s not showing on television.

First, kudos to Rolex for sponsoring the uninterrupted coverage. Five hours of coverage? How cool is that? I thought the coverage was very good, with a wide variety of players shown. At first I wasn't thrilled with the feature groups, especially since I had seen a lot of them on the USGA bonus coverage stream, but they had some of the best rounds of the afternoon wave.

 

I thought the course looked and played great. Tough par 3's. Gettable par 5's. Tricky greens. Deep bunkers. With a median score of +3, and only 24 players out of 156 breaking par, it's playing like a proper major.

 

'Cool to see Gina Kim near the top of the leaderboard. It's always great to see an amateur rise above the rest of the field.

 

There's still plenty of (tough) golf left. Any player at +2 or better is still in this thing. They obviously have to move forward tomorrow, though.

both Yuka and Dottie shot even par 71s today which is tied for 25th ...I hope they both play well the rest of the week...

That is a fair comment. On the other hand, some sites have shown videos of what Seth Raynor did in moving earth and creating an interesting golf course out of nothing, which was quite a feat at the time that it was built. If you see pictures at ground level of the elevation of the 11th green from the fairway, it is really quite something. There are some fascinating greens there, cross bunkers, and even cross mounds. I like it.
