With the exception of a t-21 this past Master's Rory has finished in the top ten since 2014 so I guess you could say it is a magical place for Rory as well, but he has yet to win at Augusta? These numbers are data indeed, but Tiger is far from the athlete he was in the 2010-2011. Nothing wrong with it, it's just the unfortunate curse of time.

Probably just his back + age + limited practice. We have probably (being the keyword) seen the last Tiger victory of his career and it was a good one!

Who?

You must be talking about some of those new kids. I don't recall seeing those names on the US Open leaderboard back in 2000.

Tiger and 1 other are the only 2 bogies all day. after all morning tees @ #1 & #10 and afternoon #10 groupings have past 12th hole.

Afternoon has been tricker downwind and crosswind 10-25mph.

I don’t think he could justify picking himself in this form. Would have to play himself into the top 8 which does not look possible.

The field is strong because of the money on the line, not because it's such a great event that the best players in the world show up. The best players are the only ones allowed to show up.

Totally agree. The man came back and won twice including another major. I think that ended a chapter in his life from a personal accomplishment/competitive nature standpoint
