Easy to launch 3wood recommendation?

I got an email from TEE today as they just put their EXS line on sale. I pulled the trigger on a 15 deg 3w as I always regretted letting my EX9 go in a trade. So stoked to get a TEE back in the bag.

After my r9 3 wood with proforce black shaft broke I struggled for years trying to find a replacement. I hit and owned all the easy to launch clubs with high flying shaft even mid launch. Off the deck was never any good. spin would be low erratic. I would go when swinging well and poor. I kept going to roger dunn and I tried this callaway epic sub zero with Diamana white d+. From everything I read and was told I do not fit this. I would hit this club well almost every single time but its not suppose to work. One day after 6 months of it still sitting in the used bin it became the clear winner, even a stranger waiting for the stall mentioned "its obvious wich one to buy." My craziness had me thinking but the clear coat had scratches lets just change out the head. Nope do not do it you dummy. I took her home and used my car polish on the clear coat and it looks great. I cannot tell you how it has become a tru weapon. I have never hit or loved a 3 wood like this baby. Who would of thought but try them all. The ho in me is thinking I should probably find a backup just in case.

F9 9 degree Diamana white.  70G

Pointy looking thing.

If you're not against trying out something from a decade ago, keep your eyes open for a **17-degree Cleveland Launcher 3 wood (from 2009)**. This summer, I found a couple of nearly unused 5 and 7 woods from this line at the local Value Village (I paid $9.99 for each). I like them so much that I bought a mint-condition High-Launch 3 wood off eBay for $70. This is a fantastic club, especially paired up with my slow swing speed and relatively slow tempo. I can hit this well from a low tee and off the deck. This 2009 Cleveland Launcher fairway wood is now my second-favorite club in my bag (after the 22-degree 7 wood).

I just switched from tour edge to g400 3 wood and 5 wood. The g400 is much easier for me to launch and avoid severe low left shots. Nothing against the TEE clubs, I'm just getting older and the g400 gave me better ball flight. Bought both of the g400's used for under $165 each

I will second this. I just picked one up a week ago and am LOVING the 917f2. I had the TS2 which was pretty hot faced for a 3w but the 917 looks better from the top and actually seems easier off the deck. Off the tee it is LONG. Love this thing so far.

I am not a Callaway fan but their 3 woods are typically some of the easiest to hit off the deck. The first generation XR is a beautiful looking club.

I still have my TEE XCG5 in my bag, I cannot recommend it enough. It has served me well for ages, long, straight and so easy to hit from anywhere. I wish I could find another. There are lots of forum threads about this 3-wood where everyone spoke wonders of it.

Never been good with 3w off the deck, only off short tee. But I seem to get mine going well off the deck too now (got it last year) and it's not my golfing talent: still around 24hcqxckyy9dclbv.jpg

. Nike VRS Covert 2.0. It's about 5 years old now so should be available cheap I'd say.

Almost all scratch golfers I play with have a 3W. Some opt for a driving iron in the 18-19* range after that or a 5w. I don’t see too many hybrids in their bags though.

I picked up a Mizuno 3 wood from leftie swap and I’ve always struggled with hitting low everything! Irons, drivers... everything. But this thing is amazing! Great feel, nice blue crown with some white lip stick to frame it like the epic flash does on the back end of the crown. I can crank the weight down to control the spin a little more or put it in the back position and just launch it, never looking back.

I’ve had great results with the 2016 M1 5w, and absolutely hated my 2017 M1 3w. As an experiment I ordered a GD Purple Ice shaft (60 bucks) for the 3w based on historical praise I’d seen on the internet. I hit it off the ground twice this weekend and both shots were 260ish baby fades, which is more than a player my caliber could dream for. Hit it once off the tee dead straight and long as well. I think most of the heads in the last few years are great, but the right shaft can make a world of difference for fairway woods.

Just got a rogue sub zero 3 wood. Had no issue launching the ball of the fairway. Even off a couple bare patches the last couple rounds. But this clubs shines off the tee for me.

Nobody is stopping you from buying another one. If you have regret every time you play I don't understand why you're not gaming one when you can go get one? I'm a believer that there isn't too much difference between technology today, you can either hit the ball, or you can't. There's no magic 3-wood out there that's going to be a savior to anybody. If you are having trouble hitting a 3-wood try a 4 or 5 wood and take the three wood out of the bag, it's just that simple. Or, take some lessons.

Good feedback @Mikey5e I have been taking about a lesson every two weeks from the pro at my local TPC course and I'm hunting another TS2 on the BST and the bay,
