Tee times were moved up an hour to try to avoid an incoming storm. First groups are off in two and a half hours at 6pm EDT

 

Tiger to tee off at 7:40 pm EDT

 

Golf Channel coverage has moved up and will start at 7pm EDT.

 

 

With a typhoon and five plus inches of rain on the way, I'm not expecting much golf.

A "turkey" is actually three birdies (or anything) in a row. It's like a "hat trick." Turkey is mostly a bowling term for 3 strikes in a row.

I've often wondered if Tiger never left Butch and had a relatively injury free career how many wins/majors totals by now. 100/24 over under.

If this goes to 27 holes on Sat and Sunday, then Tiger ought to get a medical exempt letter that will let him ride a buggy on Sunday. Otherwise his legs and knees will give out. And even with the buggy, all that walking will sorely strain his stamina.

Sorry, but i can't see him winning under such conditions.

 

He's still a great showman but his time in the limelight is shrinking fast.

The Doolittle boys coulda got behind that idea.

 

It's funny watching this in terms of the sound produced from tee shots as well as fairway shots. Does not sound as impressive as most tour stops as if the ball might actually be expanding instead of compressing. Need to move those mic's in close Phil Donahue style.
