Ah cool! I am in Elgin so get down to Moray often enough. I was on fire that day. Really played well. That summer was crazy. In fact when we were out there the gorse next to Silversands went up.

Here’s a couple from this past summers county am.  We had a newspaper photographer following us for a couple holes .  First one is a 5 iron from fairway into par 5 , and second is driver off the first tee box.  Was about 103 degrees that day and humid as hell.

From summer solstice (longest day of the year) 2020. These were taken between 10-1130pm at my home course. Warm enough for shorts last year - never had this happen before as either I’ve been away from town or the weather was crap on that specific date.

This may be the only picture I have of me playing. It was from last Thursday. I didn't even know my daughter had taken a sneaky picture until I saw it earlier today. 

She actually managed to snap me hitting the one decent shot I hit the whole round 😂

 

We do get some nice sunsets too. The second pic is of our 12th.

200-year old links of Colonsay GC - an hour north of Islay in the Hebrides - May 21.  Conditioning is, er, "agricultural", and a round there was great fun!

Do you get a free drop if your ball ends up on one of the stones in the fairway?

From memory, I don't think so - but you can move it away from rabbit scrapes and sheep droppings!

I like "agricultural" courses like that. I just wouldn't fancy having to hit off any of those rocks. Break my wrists and ruin my clubs.

 

Unfortunately, I'm not as popular as Tiger Woods, and I don't play golf while followed by a legion of fans who would willingly heave a massive boulder out of the way for me.

The wife snapped this last weekend. Amazed my shot went where I wanted it to go with my driver. I actually drove pretty well with her watching.
