Please recommend a traditional looking 21* hybrid that's easy to use and launch.

That was going to be my suggestion given its clean appearance. 816 is fine as well and many liked the 915.

So what makes a traditional hybrid? Do you like how the Callaway hybrids look? If so I love the 2019 big bertha it is crazy easy to launch and explosive in distance.

Apex 2019, new Mavrik Pro (I am thinking rounder smaller may be more 'traditional' to your eye. Apex has very little offset without that high cally toe design language)

 

Cobra makes a great club, Titlest is consistently classic looking...

great, have my eye on an 818H1 21* with a tensei blue 70 shaft and a bridgestone tour xd hybrid...i am thinking the 818H1 is more forgiving plus has more adjustablity....

I love the titleist adjustment system. It's super convenient for me being a lefty since I don't need a LH adapter or have to remember all the settings are backwards!

A traditional hybrid follows the models that came out big starting about 2005. A traditional hybrid is designed as a bridge club between long irons and fairway woods, and has loft and shaft length specs which fall between the two.

A bit later the iron-replacement hybrids emerged. These parallel one or more of the OEMs iron models, with hybrids meant to replace irons. An example if the 2019 Big Bertha Combo Set Often these IR hybrids such as 3, 4 and 5H had lofts almost the same as the numbered long irons they were meant to replace. Shaft lengths slightly longer for hybrids.

I like the W/S FG Tour F5 3-Hybrid. It's a 20* but adjustable to 21*.

A vote for Callaway BB OS. I wasn't so keen at first because they ditched the low profile of their 'Razr X' hybrids but once I'd mastered them I realised how good they were. Great distance and surprisingly accurate. They launch really well - I'll happily use them to fly over bushes and low trees and there are times when being able to do that from nearly 200 yards out is seriously useful.

I've surprised quite a few people on long par 4s because my driver isn't very long - about 220 yds. But when you have a 190 yd 3h that is a reasonable choice for getting on to the green it makes up for a lot :)

Mentioned already is the Callaway Rogue. I have the 4H which is 21* As a high handicap I find it easy to hit and launch. Maybe the bottom of the club may not look very traditional compared to an 818 but at address I think it looks the part just fine. You can probably find one pretty cheap on Callaway pre-owned or an ex-demo from golf galaxy or dick’s if you have one near you.

I'm gaming the 818 H2, but I think you'll be very happy with the H1.

Previously I was playing a 10+ year old Cobra Baffler Pro. Amazing club, and I upgraded mainly to get a better shaft.

I have always had exceptional luck with Cobra Hybrids in recent years, and my F7 is about as easy as it comes when I need to elevate the ball. My father is a slower swinger, and he has been enamored with the Rogue hybrid I picked up for him a few years back. Ball goes high, ball goes further...he's a happy man!

Titleist hybrids are hard to beat for me. TS2 or TS3- TS2 was longer than 818 h1 same loft & shaft, same with TS3. 818 h1 & h2 are both still very good (h1 decently more forgiving to me). Cally apex, and apex 2019 (can get some random spin numbers once in a while w/ 2019 apex. Those are the ones i have hit.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Ended up getting a 21* and 24* Bridgestone Tour BXD-Hybrid. Great deals on these right now. Smallish head and the 24* actually has a smaller head than the 21*....Simple matte gray head.
