How many hybrids are in your bag and your age?

Oooh, I want to play! Zero, I'll be 56 this year. I'm also an 18 index who only hits his driver 200 yards.

However, I do have 4 woods: Driver, 4w, 7w, and 9w at 12, 17, 22, and 25 degrees.

My first iron is a 25 degree M2 6i. I only carry 13 clubs, with the bottom end of my bag going 44, 48, 52, and 56 degrees. I have room for a 60 degree wedge but I usually just make a mess of it so I leave it home.

I’m 69, formerly a 7 handicap about 15 years ago. Now in the high teens cause I can’t hit the ball as long as I used to. I carry driver, 3w, 5w, 19, 22, 26 hybrids, 6,7,8,9,pw, sw (56 degree) A wedge, Ping Anser Scottsdale putter. Have to carry 2 golf bags to accommodate 6 woods and clubs. Two serious cervical surgeries took my strength and distance away. Switched to senior graphite shafts 4 months ago. Hate that I had to. But I love the game so much I can’t give up.

Awesome! 2-6 I guess - same model? At one point I had 2, 3, 4, and 5 hybrids all different brands (TM, Nickent, Ram, Acer). Personally don't need that close gapping in the long clubs but would love to have (and will!) 2, 4, 6 hybrids at the long end of the bag (no need for driver or woods).

Now have 3h and 5h, age 50, hc 23 and play about 2 rounds a week.

Bag 1: 2h: Srixon ZX4h: TM M1 ('17) ; Irons: MD Golf 7i & 9i, Wedges: RTX full face 52o & 58o; Putter: Spalding Pro Flite

Bag 2: 3h: Nickent 3dx; 3i: Cobra One-Length utility; 7i: TM M4; 8/9i: Inesis 500; Wedges: AW: TM RSi (50o); Cleveland RTX full face 54o; RTX 588 60o; Putter: Ping

At 40 and with a current 1 hdcp, currently have a 17 and a 22. Seriously considering a 5h as well. They're just too easy to hit. I've messed around with going to a 4i and 19* hybrid, but have the most success and best gapping with the 17 & 22.

Driver: Stealth 2 9*
3-Metal: TSi2 13.5* at D4 (+0.75)

5-Metal:  0341 Gen2 18*

4-Hybrid:  i25 22*
Irons: i210 5-U
Wedges: SM8 54D, SM9 60M
Putter: Odyssey O-Works 2MCS
Ball: -Pro-V1x

I guess I'll be the outlier here because I have 5 hybrids in my bag. Hey, it works for me. BTW I'm 51.

@Jifmoli I actually have 4-8 hybrids in my bag. Callaway Big Berthas. I have two 7 hybrids and one of those I use as the 8 hybrid club. I installed a shorter shaft and adjusted the loft to #8 specs. Works like a champ for me.

I'm 57 years young. I currently carry a 5 (26 deg) and 6 (30 deg) hybrid. They're two of my my favorite clubs in the bag. A few years back I had a 4 hybrid as well, but struggled to get it airborne. I replaced it with a 9 wood, and the results are much better. In addition to a driver and mini-driver (a 3 wood replacement), I also have a 7 wood with a 3 wood shaft.

Sure, the hybrids can be hook machines at time. But then again, so were my 5 and 6 irons. Heck, I can hook a gap wedge 40 yds. It's the swing for me, and not the club. That said, I do have plans to check out the Ping G410 hybrids with the adjustable lie angle once the prices come down out of the stratosphere. A flatter lie wouldn't hurt.

In the mid-00's I had a bag with 5 Cobra Bafflers in it, 2 - 6. I couldn't hit a fairway wood to save my life, and the hybrids were much better.

I'm 45 and I've carried 2 hybrids for the last 3 years or so. The 3H replaced my 2i about 10+ years ago. The 4H replaced my 3i about 3 years ago.

19 deg 3H = 230 yards

23 deg 4H = 215 yards

They are clones of each other that I built, same shafts, same grips, same heads (except for loft of course). Extremely versatile and the 4H is much much much easier to hit than a 3i.

I'm 39 and I have zero hybrids.

I did just test a few lately. A Callaway 18° '16 Apex with HZDRUS 105x and a Titleist 19° 818h2 with Tensei white 90x. I liked the 818h2 way more but I found the 5 wood to be more versatile.
