I'm 32. One hybrid, a 19* set at 18, then 3-PW. I have had basically this same bag setup since I put a hybrid in the bag for the first time my senior year of high school.

I'm 33 around a 10 HC and have carried Adams v3, 3&4 hybrids for a while but that depends on your makeup really because they're 19* and 22*. I just replaced them with a Ping G 19* and TM Gapr Mid @ 22.5. I have to say i'm in love with the Gapr 4 iron/hybrid. It's iron-y looking enough and i hit it straight as an arrow and can hit it with mid-high trajectory. I've been really noticing more tour players going 3 hybrid sometimes 4, but definitely a chunkier 4 and going blended. Webb Simpson has a bag full of headcovers.

My 1 iron has only been used a few times in recent years, might take it out this weekend to impress friends with my "God" like abilities. Use to carry it all the time before 2 irons hit the market. Age 58, I carry 3 hybrids, they've replaced 3/4/5 irons, just too easy to hit compared to irons. I can hit my 5, so the 5 iron hybrid equivalent is an experiment, been going since last Spring, so maybe no longer an experiment.

When I came into this thread I knew it would be combination of some golfers humble bragging about not needing hybrids and others basically apologizing for using them.

 

Use what works for you is what I say. And I think Dana Quigley was smart enough to do that.

What that implies is because someone made 13M doing one thing others should follow in that persons foot steps and make the same choices.

Let me ask a question; because I've made more as founder/CEO then that person has playing golf, why is he playing golf? Answer; all depends on a persons goals and ability. I been playing MB's for over thirty years but running companies since 74.

7 wood at 20.25 degrees playing 39 inches with Diamana D+ 70 shaft. Can hit a variety of shots from 210-230 yards with it.

Im 63 and have 1 hybrid.

Its 18.5* and acts as my 2/3 iron club. It goes about 190ish if I choke down an inch and up to 200 full swing and not choking down

I'm 66 and bag two hybrids, a Ping G 4H and Crossover 5H. Tried the Crossover 4H but just don't get enough loft out of it.

24 and don’t carry any hybrids, but a Srixon U85 2 Iron (18°). Some kind of mental block hitting hybrids but the driving iron shape suits me better. More confidence in that 2 iron than most clubs in my bag.

I'm honestly thinking of removing the 16* and replacing with a 18* fairway wood as I feel the ball comes in too hot into the greens.

Two hybrids, 21 and 23 degrees.

(Plus two fairway woods. My irons go from 5i-PW).

I’m 67 and carrying 2 right now..22* & 24*....but I did add a 5 wood last year That’s turning into one of my favorite clubs.

Still playing to a 5 handicap and from back tees at my course...it’s only 6300 yds.

I'm 64 and carry one, a 22*. Also carry a 19* TE Ironwood that replaced my 19* hybrid (hit it too high off the tee). At one time I've had 3-6 hybrids in the bag but learned a better swing and can now hit 5 & 6 irons. Use the 22* for 190-200 yd full shots, long fairway bunker shots, and chips around the green.
