I have kicked this idea around for a few days.. I keep tweaking it but always come back to this..

Hey all, I know you're frustrated with delivery dates on the new irons, but golf was closed at the time we placed orders for the first wave of these products and as soon as golf opened again and we started to get feedback / orders on these new irons in July, we ramped up production.

 

So what you're seeing being delivered in September is the first wave with the second wave coming in October. I'm sure you all work in businesses where forecasting and planning against future demand is a challenge, throw in a global pandemic and things get a little more interesting.

 

We're doing the best we can. We're delighted that these irons have been well received and we appreciate your patience. Demand is outstripping supply right now...and our athletes winning 50% of the PGA TOUR events since the re-start is not helping either. ? 

 

We're on it, we're optimistic about the future and thanks for choosing our brand.

No need to explain yourselves, thanks for at least releasing these irons for us (you could tell how many members were excited here) and for taking our minds off the crazy world we are living in right now and allowing us to play the game we love with new shiny gear ?

Thanks Taylormade for keeping us up to date, just ask your cousins in the UK to get a bloody move on, the suspense and excitement are killing me.....?

This is exactly what I was thinking.  I haven't played a 3-iron in years but I was even considering adding the P770 3-iron in place of a utility iron.  Just love the EXS Pro 20* hybrid and 19* Ti-utility I've been messing with lately.

 

I've been playing Apex Pro Dots w/PX LZ for a season but hoping to find something that spins a little bit less, looks equally as good, maybe offers a little more forgiveness and ballspeed.  Can't wait to get on a launch monitor and see how all the new Taylors compare with the Dots

Just called The Golf Mart and they said my order shipped! Once I get it I’ll be doing an update witb. 
thinking about the TM grind wedges now for a full TM bag

Spent some time again with the 7MC, and few things to note

-really good spin numbers at 88mph ss in the mid to low 6000’s

-average height was around 95-105ft and land angle around 46*
-average bs was around 120-122mph with 7 iron and peaking at 124/125mph

-feel was great when middled, and only about 3/4mph ball speed loss on thin shots

I had a friend of mine order this exact setup and think it's perfect if you're looking for a MB combo set with this line.

And I got mine!!!  I was in a meeting when the shop called and thought to myself, they better not be calling to say it’s delayed because they told

me I’d get it on 9/3.  They left me a voicemail...I listened and lo and behold they called to tell me my special order has been delivered!!

Orders placed today are looking at 10/25 - 11/1 approx delivery date for all 3 models. It's a little dependent on the set make up, but in that general timeline - sorry.?

Well it’s a good day when you receive the call saying that your clubs are in! I just picked up my P770 4-PW and they are absolutely stunning in person. I currently play the P760s and really liked them and carded some of my best rounds last year but couldn’t pass on these. They are solid and sound and feel great. Time will tell if I can hit new lows but so far I’m happy. I have a sim at home and spent the past few days logging data on the 760s so I will soon know how these compare. I’m looking for a bit more forgiveness (for those early morning rounds), a bit more distance and higher flight. I’ll post more later.

Just an fyi, but on the TM website, the only heads showing a delay when configuring the irons are the 770s.  MB and MC both show 9/4 as ship dates for multiple configurations.  Might want to work on that.

Expected ship date I was given is 10/22/2020.

 

I wish I wouldn't have checked the TM site before I ordered and saw 9/4/2020.  Oh well.  MP-33s until then..

My clubs still have a ship date of 9/4. Hopefully they'll get out soon like some of yalls. Ordered them through the custom shop with Modus 120s a couple hours  after release.

FWIW to others waiting: I had a delivery date of 9/4 after ordering P770's with SteelFiber shafts on day 1 through my club.  My pro shop told me that TM shipped mine out today.

Hope all of these sets are not on the BS forum before Christmas :-).

Looks good. I'm well known for being very against blended sets but, I wouldn't mind make a 4/5 in 770 and 6-P in MB. I know the recommendation is MC but, I'm just really digging those MBs and not the MC so much. It'd be a bit of work with the lofts and making them flow.

So jealous! Anyone get 770s with modus105s? Thats what I got. Flipped a coin kbs tour vs modus 105. Both very similar and felt amazing.

I love the feel of the Modus 105 but these launch HIGH, at least for me the Project X LZ kept them just a bit lower.  Both (LZ and Modus) were no up-charge shafts.

Great to hear TM is finally offering more no upcharge shafts.
