Currently have p790 3 and 4 iron. Thinking of keeping the 4 iron and going:

3- Sim UDI 

4- P790

5,6- 770

7,8,9,PW- MC

My buddy is a local firefighter and has been working non stop. I still need to get go bags made for us but we have been lucky and safe. Golf is secondary to what’s going on but a nice distraction and bright spot during this time.

About to place my order for p770’s, 4-P, with C-taper lites. Store only had the stiff shafts and they felt great, but coming from Modus 120x I’m afraid stiff will feel loose. Anybody hit these shafts? Significant difference between stiff and X?

Yep.  I checked on the TM site when I ordered and still had 9/4 as ship date, now I’m out until end of September.  I’m sure I could get them to cancel if I wanted to, even though they have a no cancel policy on custom orders.  I might if they bump me any farther out. I live in the mountains.  My season starts to wane in October, depending on weather.  I’m not sure I need them sitting in my man cave for 5 months, haha. It’s really a TM Issue though- bad forecasting if you have to backorder second day orders.

@TaylorMade Golf are the DG120s offered on the new irons the silk screened ones or the ones with the old stickers? Shouldn’t matter, but it sort of does. Thanks.

Haha.  It totally does matter.  I asked the same question awhile back and didn’t get an answer.  I bet until they use up their stock with old stickers, that’s what would come with it.  It still shows that on their site.

i went and hit the 770's with the c taper lites and thats what i ended up ordering and got fit into. felt nice and not loose feeling to me...

As a general rule, I've found that KBS C-Taper/C-Taper Lite shafts tend to play stiffer than stated flex, and Modus shafts tend to play softer than stated flex.

So I was late to the party and ordered a set of p770s yesterday and it says expected ship date 10-26! Wtf!  I guess I can be patient and just wait. No big deal. But does anyone think that theres a chance I get them earlier? Or is 10-26 prob best case scenario?

Mine shipped today. All morning the website said they had been shipped, but no shipping info. Late today the shipping got updated. Will be here Thursday it looks like. I ordered from the TM website on the 14th. Ship date was 9-4-20. Pretty happy they are running ahead of schedule.

Why do us poor relations in the UK have to wait longer for our new shiny P770’s than the USA. Some lucky people will get them this week there and we always have to wait for the official release date.

Your new irons are fantastic and I can’t wait but I will have to..... wait, not fair, disgruntled from the UK?

I think Taylormade didn’t expect these to be as hugely  popular as they have been, add Covid to the mix and the problems that causes with reduced working practices, and your October dates are because demand has outstripped manufacturing capabilities......

I called TM and he said they cant make the heads fast enough and they are the issue. 

 

I just dont understand if I ordered a week prior my clubs would get to my door 6 weeks earlier .

The equipment industry is absolutely booming. Taylormade should have seen this and been ready.. I like TM stuff but this seem to be a common thing for them. They seem to never be ready at release..

You misunderstand mate, my expected ship date is September 10 for both sets. No disrespect intended to those affected, but if I had paid for either one of these sets, I'd be going nuts having to wait that long for delivery. 

 

 I just checked my status for both sets and its now saying the expected ship date is Sept 7. Good for Taylormade that there's such a high demand in this day and age. Unfortunate that they will have to overcome a supply shortage.
