Best blade like players CB?

Just got a set of Callaway X Forged and very happy with them. Worth looking at.

I have a set of Acer XV Tour, a soft cast that has the feel of forged clubs I have played. They are kind of between a blade and a CB. They are some of the prettiest traditional looking clubs I have ever seen with only 3 mm offset in the 3 iron and 1.9 in the PW. I have never like the Mizuno nor Hogan blades because of the offset and the way they do the hosel that makes them look more closed.

For those who have been lucky enough to hit many forged CB's the Miura's are the best I have ever hit and I've hit many many clubs...

... There is a reason the Titleist T100 series went into more pro's bags and faster than any previous release. Obviously this is a personal preference thread but the T100 series are just amazing irons that look like a MB at address, provide all the performance of a MB with the added forgiveness of a Players CB for slight miss hits.

I have hit the black Cobra CB which is basically the MB with a bit of cavity, and it plays wonderfully.

My favourite blade like CB are the Mizuno JPX 919 tours https://mizunogolf.com/uk/irons-comparison-table/ the table shows you the minute differences you would see with a calliper the 919 tours topline is .3mm bigger and has that blade look but but with the slightly wider sole and blade length make them a bit more inviting to know you have the surface area and the relief to hit good shots when lies are bad and on days you don't feel like a tour pro. I Ultimately would game blades again one day but I don't sense the CB on the 919 tours is enough to hinder what I want to accomplish when deciding on a shot to play each time I pull one out of my bag.

Miura CB-1008 are my favorite irons I've owned. (compared to Blueprints, MB-001, z745 and z945's, i500's). Size and appearance of a blade, forgiveness of a CB. Hard to explain the feel as it's not as soft as the Srixon's, but worlds better than the Pings. They are just damn good.
I spoke with @chipandaputt earlier this week and he's trying to get more sets from Miura. Give him a ring as he's a top shelf Miura dealer and a great guy to work with.

The two CBs I have hit that are the most blade-like (size, top line, offset, etc) are the Titleist CB (ANY year/model, like previously said) and the Cobra CB.

The Cobra King Forged CB's have a really nice look from address and a solid feel that reminds me of a traditional blade. Not currently gaming a set but I prefer the look over most player CB's.

Apex Pro 19's. Like a wand. Not surprised almost half their PGA tour guys use them.

Personally I don't get all this love for Mizuno CBs. I've been fitted for three sets of Mizzys over the course of the last ten years and none of them worked out.

Always felt like it was like trying to hit a golf ball with a 36" ball peen hammer.

With you there, had couple mizzy over the years, last were TZoid Pro some blade type club. Honestly I didn't think they felt that great and the short iron profile just looked off. Each to their own, Cally forged are pretty buttery.

Been gaming the Z785 3/4i and Z-Forged 5i-PW for over a year now. Love them. Z-Forged is the most forgiving blade I've ever hit and has fantastic feel.

I would also throw in a vote for the miura cb 1008. I have combo set with the cb 1008 4-7 and 8-pw of mc 501. Both are just fantastic irons!

Sleeper pick, Honma TW-747V. I've been playing them for a few months and they are great. I assume the TR20's are as good or better.

I'm gaming MP64s now, have a set of MP33s on the sideline.

In all honesty, I think I hit the 33s better, they just fly a bit high for me.

At address, you can't see the cavity on the 64s, so it looks pretty "bladelike".

I dunno, modern blades seem to be as forgiving and playable as players cavities. The cavity on most players CBs are so shallow and small, I wonder if they are really that effective or add any significant benefits.

i have not. I can just tell you compared to the 716 and 718, they are a little more “blade like”. They removed the tungsten from the mid irons (5-7?) and the 4 iron is where it now appears. Im gaming 5-w 620 cb with a t100 4 iron and its a great combo, but i could see doing a 5 and 6 t100 as well.

Yea man, I question this as well... honestly I think the 'tungsten at the toe' feature you're seeing a lot more of now matters more with respect to ballflight and forgiveness than a tiny cavity would.
