Just ordered the Sim2 with this shaft. Blew me away. Unfortunately can't help you with the OG Sim request though.

Yeah me too.  It feels a little soft to flex to me so I swapped in an old Smoke Green.  Bought the OG on a whim and thinking about tossing the RDX Black in that.

Just got a TSi3 with this in it after going through a fitting. I know they’re slightly different profiles, but to me it felt very similar and also got similar trackman numbers to the Tour AD IZ (both X flexes), without the $200 upcharge. The fitter even mentioned that it probably wasn’t worth it, which was refreshing. This combo is going to be awesome.

Anyone else that normally doesn’t play X-stiff been fit into Hzrdus Smoke Black RDX 6.5?

My 103mph swing with smooth transition is very surprised 😊

I'm just a touch faster than you (approx 106mph) and was just fit for Smoke Black RDX 6.5. It's an awesome shaft, incredibly stable without feeling like a 2x4 even in the 6.5. I wasn't expecting to like it and ended up leaving w/ a TSi3 with one. It was head and shoulders above every other combo in my fitting in dispersion and consistency in launch/spin.

I was talking with my fitter and he mentioned that he has fit a few folks who normally game a 6.0 in the 6.5 w/ the RDX Black because the extra stability gives them more consistency. I doubt you'd want the 6.5 if you were in the 95 range but I think anyone above 100mph (even if barely) could easily play it.

I preferred the feel of the AD IZ but it was just a (small) bit too spinny compared to the RDX Black, both 60-ish gram X/6.5's. We're talking only a couple of hundred RPM. Very similar numbers otherwise, but my fitter said the same thing - keep spin down and avoid the upcharge with the RDX Black.

Looks like there are a few TSi3/RDX players here 😄

I originally got fitted for the TSI 2 with a black RDX 6.0 which I love but I do find the IZ to be a little higher launching and smoother than the RDX but they are very very similar in spin and flight numbers I also concur that anyone with club head  speed of 100 + could play the RDX 6.5 .

I have one that I tried in a tsi. It is really good. It is a stock option in the sim2 I think it is a good shaft.

Tried RDX Blue (PVD) today in 60 6.0 in TSi3 9* and 70 6.0 in TSi2 15*.

Aren’t they like the RDX Black - a little bit soft to flex?

I’m 105 mph with driver and 102 mph with spoon with smooth transition. I normally play stiff, maybe tipped a little bit extra. RDX Blue felt awesome, very smooth, but in 6.0 a little bit too smooth. I didn’t pull any balls left, but I “overdrawed” quite a few of them with both clubs, and especially the launch was way higher than I anticipated. As an example I launched Tour AD IZ 6s/7s lower than RDX Blue in 6.0 when I switched between them during a bucket of balls.

Wish I had the opportunity to test them in 6.5 😊 (Which by the way according to PX homepage has the same weight, torque and butt diameter as 6.0 🤔🤨

For me and my swing,  I think they play a little soft to flex, as well.  I would typically not use a TX, but the 60TX feels perfect to me.  I would usually be in a X stiff in others or a 6.5 in other HZRDUS shafts for what this is worth..

Interestingly, during my TSi3 fitting I preferred the RDX black over the AV Raw White because the Raw felt a bit too firm through my swing. Both felt stable but I couldn't get (or couldn't feel, I don't know if they're the same thing in this case) the Raw working for me at all. Loved the ball flight and didn't like the feel but I think the numbers were pretty similar for both.

Same for me. I loved the feel of the RDX and the White felt firmer to me. I posted earlier in this thread that the RDX had my attention from a few swings in a Sim2 but when I did my fitting the White won out for overall performance in a TSi3 head. I would say I still liked the feel of the RDX but it was a bit looser and I was hesitant with it. I felt I could go after it a bit more with the White and not lose it left so it did win. Still pondering an RDX Black if I can find a good deal. Really want to try one on the course.

Got the Blue RDX last week. So far it is definitely my favorite shaft I've used for driver. I've historically played very stout shafts (OG HZRDUS Black, T1100, Pro Orange) and the Blue RDX retains the stable feel of these while also feeling like I get a bit of a kick at impact. I personally don't feel any load, just a bit of release. Haven't hit on a launch monitor with it yet, but ball flight is nearly identical to what it was with Pro Orange.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking about ordering a White AV Raw 2.0

Interestingly, I got fit today at 2nd swing and it came down to a radspeed with RDX blue 70 6.5 or TSi3 with Av white raw X flex. Honestly if they’d had the 70 gram AV white it might have helped smooth it out, but I was more consistent with the RDX and misses were a touch better. SS on the launch monitor today was 112-115 for context. I would have been happy purchasing either driver in either shaft. Both are awesome, but RDX blue was a hair more consistent

Also the RDX blue shouldn’t match my profile, if you look at how I swing and generally need the ball flight lowered, but for me it felt really smooth and most importantly, consistent even in the misses.

I got fitted into a Cobra Radspeed 9 deg with the Smoke Blue RDX in 6.5 70g.  Picked up 5 mph in ball speed over my Yellow HC 6.5 in a 440 M1, most were right around 173mph.   Super consistent shaft, really liked the feel at impact, much more responsive than what i feel the Yellow HC has. Very much feels like what others have said about not feeling much load but some release/kick at impact.  Also tried a Tensei Orange in the G425 and the Rogue White in a Epic Speed.  Cobra/RDX combo felt the best and had the best numbers.  RDX seems to perform most optimally for me when i dont go after it but make a standard pass at the ball.  Excited to see how it performs this season.

Just got the TSi3 in the RDX Smoke Black 6.5. Been a Mitsubishi fanboy since the OG Whiteboard but the numbers don’t lie. Spin a hair more than the Tensei White 65 but was so much smoother, hair higher launch. Most significant was it was easier to swing. Consistently higher SS with RDX in the low/mid teens, the Tensei had the same highs but had a good number sub 110. I think it may help in the hot humid summer on the back 9.

Very excited to get this on the course. May end up tipping by 0.5 once I get an on course feel.
