I’m 45 minutes behind, can I assume there was a golf tournament going on somewhere while CBS was running this issue into the ground?  
 

Personally, don’t think Reed really did anything outside the rules, but if the point is for all players to be treated equally, CBS ought to get a penalty for their near total dismissal of Rory’s actions.

 

Wasn’t there a point in time when we wanted players to make their own rulings and not call in an official every time there’s a drop situation? I feel like there was.

I watched both Reed and Rory shots.  How could either have plugged?  Balls that bounce and land in thick rough don't embed unless you are in a swamp/bog (which they weren't).  Both bending rules against the spirit of the game IMO.

Okay I do  actually disagree a bit, I think on these forum allot of nuance of the discussion gets lost and points of view are simplified. With all the nuance there is more agreement than it appears. 

 

Did the official(s) make the right call - yes. Do I think PR broke the rules - yes.  Do I really care - no. Just shooting the breeze while watching golf.

I've always likened much of Wrx, especially the tour forum, to BSing with your buddies at the pub.
