Epic speed triple diamond LS

This is pretty awesome. I very much like how it looks and feels.

I am not sure what the difference between the triple diamond and triple diamond LS is but the weights front back are different weights.

My Epic Speed TD came with 2 8gram weights installed.   I was told the LS TD shape is different than the regular Speed TD.   My Epic Speed TD is just like my Maverick TD.   I haven’t seen the Speed LS TD so cant comment on shape, but I believe it is a little more elongated front to. Ack and may be a slightly deeper face.  Enjoy!

My TD LS came thid week and I hit it yesterday compared to my TSi3 and Max LS. I’d say it spins very similarly to the Max LS both have stated loft of 9.0, but the TD LS tour sticker said 9.5. Ball speeds similar as well just different looking and sounding heads. TD is much more solid sounding and the Max LS is an it more tingy sounding if that make sense. I have the 9.0 TSi3 set to flat and down to 8.25.  Solid hits on all three were similar with the Callys being more consistently fast across the face. I find that when I mishit the Titleist that the ball speeds come down and spin gets up quickly to low 3000 where I normally live in the 24-2700 range. Both Callys spin 22-2500 for me and are much faster across the face. The biggest different in addition to spin is the retention of speed with the Callys across the clubface. Continue to find it very impressive. It really doesn’t drop. I mishit a few with the Callys and the ballspeed was still within 1-2 mph of better hit balls where with the Titleist it drops 4-8. My buddy was with me and commented that the averages were that the Callys were about 300 less spin and about 8 yards more carry then Titleist. I’m just such a fan of the TSi3 that it’s gonna be tough to move to either Callaway.

Titleist has a Ventus Blue 6X and in the Callaways I was using a GD BB 6X and a Ventus Red 6x.

I did all testing on my GCQ indoors so sound could have been amplified a bit. Going to do more outside next week and I’ll update some things. I’ll be interested to see the ball flights outdoors.

Happy to answer any questions anyone has from my short experience thus far.

The testing is done and the final version is pretty much cooked up. No real name set but I believe it will a SZ/TD type head. The one pictured belongs to Rahmbo and its a very specific head. TONS of camber and basically made for players that want to hit down hard on the 3 or 5 wood. If you are picker and want to demand a downward strike, this is a good training aid lol.

What’s the reason/rationale for Callaway deleting an adjustable hosel fairway wood?  I know most PGA guys know their exact setups, but doesn’t the adjustability make sense for the consumer market?

One of the reasons why I didn’t consider it.  For us shaft ho’s, non adjustable makes no sense.

Finally saw one today in person and you aren’t kidding about that camber. Looks great though and definitely great club for a player that fits it’s design.

The adjustable hosel adds weight to the heel, resulting in having to add more weight to the toe to offset it, unless you want a very draw biased head. Using weight for those two uses limits weight that can be used in other ways. At least, that is what we were told.

Thats def one way to look at it. Its also the fact that most consumers don't use the adjustable hosel all that much. lots of production/logistics etc to provide something that ins' utilized all that much. At the Tour level, bonded hosels provide a bit more head stability (so im told). TW preferred the look and feel of the bonded hosels because the head didn't twist as much. Who knows?

Theyre only available through certain callaway accounts for special order - mostly specialty builders and green grass accounts.

Hey guys,

Since Phil Mickelson basically has been the face of Callaway for 15+ years, I assume these are available in left handed?  I will eagerly await responses.

Sincerely,

CallawayLefty

correct me if I am wrong but I was told Callaway isn’t offering the Triple diamond to lefties this year? A real bummer in my opinion.

With some good luck and $400 to $600, you should be able to acquire a head off eBay sometime around mid 2024.

It seriously pains me that these heads exist in lefty, that they're being sold in righty, and that there is no way to get one in lefty.  Come on Callaway...hook it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a TC epic flash triple diamond and I really like it. Also have a TC 8.5 mavrik triple diamond but don’t like it as much. Only epic speed triple I’ve ever seen made is akshays.

Apparently Callaway does not know how to use the REVERSE MIRROR IMAGE button on the 3D printer. Haha

Why offer in 10.5 if you want low launch?  I would think its best to offer only in 8 or 9.

Not everyone delivers the club the same. Low launch and spin are conditions that can exist at any loft.
