Yes, I purchased a 0811X from the EBay store. Had to be a return and was like new. Had a senior flex shaft I did not need anyway.  Sold that shaft for a good price. Got it for a great price then did a fitting at PXG and ordered a Ventus Black. Great price thru PXG for the Ventus. What a great price for this setup.

This thing is a straight bomber now!

Thanks Osprey for the encouragement. First round with the Gen4 & Black combo today. Looking forward to it!

Still absolutely LOVING mine. A buddy of mine that’s a scratch golfer hit it a few times last week when we played a scramble, now he wants one too. He’s been playing an Taylormade M3 since it came out because he couldn’t find anything to kick it out…we’ll he did now. 😬

Good to hear from you in here. Been awhile. Loving mine even more with the Ventus Black. First round and hit more fairways. When struck well it just goes.

I have played a couple more rounds with the 0811X and loving the driver! I feel confident with the club and can play it down the left side of the fairway, down the middle or a nice controlled fade around the corner.

Good solid feedback on the Gen4, had the Gen2 and it felt heavy and quite a dead feel.

Anyone able to compare to Epic Speed TD LS?

How do you decide which version if the Gen 4 to get?

The XT is pretty much a good ball-striker's driver. Low spin, deeper face, and the least forgiving of the three. The X is supposed to be PXG's lowest spinning driver with forgiveness built in. Folks on here have chimed in on its length and added forgiveness. The XF is their most forgiving driver, but is by no means short. I would compare it directly to the Ping Max 425, but the XF allows the heavier weight to go in the forward spot to cut down the spin if you so desire. That is my limited knowledge on PXG. Hopefully, more will add to what I have described. At the price, you definitely won't go wrong!

Between my kids (17, 13) and I we have all 3 drivers. I use the 0811 X, son XT, daughter XF. My son loves the XT. He's a 8 index. We played last week with our drivers for the first time and he hasn't been on a golf course in probably 4 or 5 weeks. He didn't miss a drive out of play all round which might be a first for him and hit some bombs. I think the combo of the head and X shaft has eliminated his left miss.

I really enjoyed hitting the 0811X that day. Like my son I had no fear of the ball turning over right to left. I hit a flatter ball flight than with my Epic Flash SZ. I'm excited about playing more to fine tune it. I really prefer the sound of the ball coming off the face to any driver I've had before.

My daughter has been too busy to try her XF. Lol

XF - 10.5 turned to 9.5 with 10 grams in heel and front, 2.5 in rear. 45.5 CB Riptide. Beat out the G425 Max. Most controllable driver I maybe ever had. 36 holes played, where I use driver, close to 75% in the fairway, which is amazing for me. Short grass golf is more fun.

How do the distances compare between the two for you?

I have used Ping drivers for the last few years. As of recently, I  owned 3 G400 Max drivers, a G410 Plus, and a couple G425 Max drivers at the same time. Well, I am down to one G400 Max, and one G425 Max..They are both sitting in my extra bag. The PXG Gen4 0811XF is what finally convinced me to sell all my Pings. Not saying anything bad about Ping ( remember, I  kept two of them ), but I  am just hitting the PXG so much more consistently.  I am not a very good driver of the ball,  but my last few rounds have my golf buddies wondering what the **** is going on?

How is the distance differences you were seeing on the two of them?

They are close. When I set the heavier weight forward in the PXG, I  do get a lower flight, and more run out, so a few more yards there. Heavy weight in the back, and they are all right there together.

I’m going to agree with Muni - the weights seem to effect flight significantly enough to notice height, shape and distance differences when tinkering with the 0811. As for the comparison to the G425 Max, the PXG is longer by just a little. PXG more consistent.

These are $299 again, so I ordered the Gen4 XF online Saturday night after finally canceling a G425 Max driver I ordered on 6/28 (holdup is Distanza shaft, now b/o until Dec. 🙄)

My SS is 83-85mph, I’m 67yo. I went with the Riptide 40CB 5.0. My reasoning for going with the PXG XF was trying to match the specs on the 425Max fitting as close as I could.

I realize most of you don’t play this profile shaft, but any fitters out there who can let me know if I comped the shaft/heads well or not?

This may have been asked already, but how does the 0811x compare to both the new Gen 4 driver and the cheaper 0211?  Distance, feel, forgiveness, etc?

i would also be interested in this.

i want to get fitted for on 0811x soon to replace my 0211 with smoke yellow shaft. i have been trying out my friends sim2 and sim2 max drivers and they are about 10-15 yards longer than my 0211. i think its mostly the shaft but pxg rep said the 0811x would be close to the sim2. can get a sim2 max for $449. the 0811x is back down to $299 but with a $50 fitting fee and shaft upcharge it will be sim2 price quick.

I hit way more fairways with the 0211..no noticeable distance. Between the two

i have a friend lined up to buy my 0211 once i replace it. we both love the sound and feel. he crushes it and finds fairways with it while i struggle to do anything with it. i could get it re-shafted but a new driver and shaft is more fun

Yesterday went to PXG fitting center at Carlton Woods golf course. Outside hitting bays with trackman.

Baseline tested with current Ping G410 LST 10.5  with VA Slay 55 shaft.

Started out with 0811X 10.5 degree with Cypher shaft, too spiny, then Riptide no feel then we went to Tensei AV Raw Blue 55. Still a little too much spin so we moved to the 9 degree head on the Big + setting with the Tensei AV Raw Blue shaft and had the best ball speeds and lowest spin. Ordered it without grip as the upcharge on a GP CP2 pro is $30 !!! Thats a lot of upcharge on a $10 grip.

Then I tried the 0317X Gen4 Hybrid and wow it was high launch and consistent point and shoot. Normally I struggle with a draw with my hybrid but the PXG was very accurate and great ball flight.

Prior to testing the PXG driver I had tried Sim2, Titleist TSi2 and neither could knock the Ping out of the bag. Can't wait to get the clubs and try on the golf course.

Ordered the driver and recieved it in 6 days ! Played this driver 4 rounds in the past 6 days and have to admit I am impressed. A real fairway finder and I am getting consistent yardage with my driver even on mishits. On my best hit the PXG is not longer than my best hit G410 LST but on a consistent basis it is longer and defiantly more forgiving. Also the price is right compared to the other OEM's. Very pleased with the performance of this driver and never felt anything could knock the G410LST out of the bag.

I have a G410 LST 10.5 and love it. Shaft is Alta CB 55 Stiff. Had Sim2 max, Epic Max and Epic Speed and they all ballooned with no distance.

Now I'm debating XF with the weight forward or the X. I just want a bit more forgiveness and consistency whilst not popping the spin back up. HELP!!!

X is just slightly less forgiving than XF and doesn't bring the spin of the XF. IMO, I'd go X all day.
