Ahhh.  I just looked closer.  You have the 221’s.   Initially I didn’t look closely enough at the picture, thought you had 223/zx7 combo.

the 3 goes so far I could almost go driver then 3 fli hi. The 4 goes about as far as my 7 wood just a flatter flight. So i am trying to decide if I want to pull the 7 wood or not. 

 

the fli hi’s are freaking fast. The face tech in these is awesome. They are super easy to hit. I have them with the stock rdx black 90 gram in 6.5. I was considering putting Ventus hybrid shafts in but these seem to pair great and I don’t want to mess them up. So for now, I am not changing the shafts.

 

 

Have you hit the P790 UDI? Easier to hit than those, I assume? What about the feel?

Way easier. I found the UDI extremely unfriendly. Same with the SIM utility. I have a GAPR and these are more friendly than that.

 Just got word that mine is completed and waitng for Fed Ex pick up, probably today, we are generally a 2 day delviery, so probably have it Wednesday or Thursday!  Order was placed 11/11

Called Mizuno to ask about Fli-Hi options/ship dates and also got an update on my 223 order. I placed it just after New Year's and they said it would ship next week or the week after. Looks like they are doing a great job of handling this release so far!

My order was on 1/10/22 through Club Champion. My order was a stock order but I just got off the phone with Mizuno and they said they are building the heads and shafts but shipping them to CC for them to cut to length and grip. Which makes no sense to me...

 

Either way, my 1/10 order is shipping the 3rd week in February.

I knew what I was getting into going in, so I left paying retail + and $87 fitting fee which was offset by a $150 gift card.

 

They did try and charge me for shafts and grips and I had to remind them they were stock offerings from Mizuno. I kindly said no to their SST Puring song and dance.

 

I have never been fit for irons before and this was the closest fitter with a decent selection. TXG is 4 hours away but I wasn't sure if the border was open.

I did a Club Champion fitting about 6 months ago. I didn't end up buying.

 

They were pretty emphatic that they assemble the clubs. Their opinion was that they would control all the specs much, much better than straight from a factory. I don't think it hurts that they double-triple check everything for you (length, loft, lie, swingweight).

Recoil 95 shaft but custom length and lie, pretty much stock grip.

I called yesterday and they said new orders should ship in about 3-4 weeks.

FWIW, this matches what DD told me early last week when I placed my order as well.

Mizuno: 3-4 weeks 
Callaway: 5-6 weeks
Ping: 7-8 Weeks (G425/i210 Irons 12-16 Weeks) (i59 irons 6-7 weeks)
Titleist: 6-8 weeks

Scotty Cameron: 8-10 weeks
Taylormade: 5-7 weeks (Woods are 1-2 weeks faster on average)
Wilson: 6-7 weeks
Cobra: 7-8 weeks
Srixon/Cleveland: 7-8 weeks
Bettinardi: 5 weeks 

Other: 5 weeks

I have a custom order after fitting at my local shop placed on 1/08. I talked to Mizuno this morning for update and they said there are no delays meaning all my heads and shafts and grips are in stock. I should receive mine by 3rd week to end of February.

I feel your pain, I put my order in last Tuesday and was told 3-4 weeks from then which basically lands late Feb as well. We should start a support group!

I ordered KBS $ Taper Black shafts in my 223. Apparently there is a quality control issue with the shaft, and wont ship until summer with this shaft option. FYI
