Oh wow. No clue 🤷‍♂️

Maybe i got the old style thats too big? But it only measures 4 inches front to back and i dont see how that fits on a DF 2.1

WTF?  The Prototype comes out at $600 +whatever shaft upgrade, with an incorrect headcover. Which is fine.
 Sam posts The putter cover issue will be addressed but sadly the price point issue will not. At the moment, with supplies the way they are, our US based manufacturing and the need to leave a margin for out retailers, the retail price will be $550.  
surprise retail price is not $550 but $450. $150 less. The putter cover resolution is to pay more money for some BS canvass headcover?  Lab golf can make some great putters but you guys have dropped the ball on the headcovers from the word go. The black headcovers for the DF were crap, and there seems to be no improvement on the headcover front.

I think what you received is the proper Mezz headcover and Lab is now sending out the canvass headcovers to mitigate their error.

Thats what i thought but the headcover above  confuses me. Im not a big headcover guy so it isnt a big deal to me. Just trying to clarify for everyone else really

Interesting- so what is the proper head cover?  Another drop of the ball is the Email they sent out to those that purchase the prototype and got the wrong head cover.  The Email indicates they will send you the proper head cover for free once you return the original head cover.  So what am I supposed to do for a head cover during the period when they are waiting for the old one to be returned?  I am not going to put the putter in my bag with no head cover. I am also not sure what they are going to do with all the used head covers that get returned.

Waddup everyone. I snagged a MEZZ Proto and mine came with the small leathery Velcro headcover that was previously mentioned above. I simply shot an email to [email protected] and asked about a headcover update and if I could have one sent out and I got an email the next day saying they’d shoot me an updated cover ASAP. Asked for pics and it looks like the final product is the canvas material headcover (I’ll attach the pics they sent me).

i just received my putter this past tuesday and got the canvas one. fits and works real well! though if they sold the leather one with a magnetic closure id buy one in a heart beat!

Anybody have any good pictures of it?  I've seen the mock up over the original to see it's much smaller.  But haven't seen too much in the way of the putter on the green or next to a ball.  It looks like it has more height to it that a standard putter.  Is it very blocky?  Anybody who has one already able to do a little video putting with it?

 

I'm super intrigued with the torque balanced putters as I think it's perfect for my stroke.  I'm just nervous dropping $600+ on a putter I haven't seen in person or rolled.  Any idea when they get sent to the stores for their fittings?

Canvas cover looks great, that was a great choice imo instead of the leather.

Yes with 10 WRX testers this provides a WIDE range of contrasts and opinions on the Mezz putter

 

Having said that, the hardest thing to do is describe a feel since it varies between person to person so at the end of the day, there is nothing like having a Lie Angle Balance in your hand and rolling it on the green. It is a different feel because the putter is balanced different to a ordinary OEM putter.

 

In someways, I wish LAB would have some sort of "Testing Program" available where you plonk $25 down, they send you a test putter and you ship it back after a trial period, much like Ben Hogan has with their clubs. Jus' sayin...

I’m looking fwd to the Mezz. I have a B2 in regular rotation and had a DF but sold it mainly due to its size and getting in/out of the bag.

I had the b2 before the Mezz.. It is better in every way! A lot more forgiving, livelier feel, and a lot better looking.

Which grips have you used?  How much more onset did the Mezz have vs. B2?  Was it noticable?

My putting has been bad in December.  It went completely sideways today.  I got home, showered, drank some beer, and ordered a Mezz.

Currently have the press 1.5 on the Mezz.  It's not a lot of onset. A litle more than the b2, but way less than the DF.

Looking for some thoughts here — I have some left arm issues (long story) that make it far better for me to putt with an over-length putter. Best option so far has been 38” with a moderate counter weight.

 

Can the Mezz be done in 38”? Would a counter weight be necessary or even recommended? Would that screw up the lie angle balance?

 

Am intrigued by these putters but have some unique physical things to deal with. Thanks!

 

EDIT: I see now, available up to 38” and swingweighted to the length of the build. I get it. Need to measure and see where I really grip my 38” as it is not right at the butt. Intrigued and may add this to ‘da bag.

This may have been asked, but how does a regular Superstroke 1.0 Tour, for example, impact this putter?   The website says you have to order one of their forward press grips.  Does a regular grip not work well with this new Mezz?

You could put on one but it would be very awkward. The press grips fit on the shaft at angle so it will line up with the face. Its a pretty neat concept.

Ok, thank you, my main concern is I like a smaller grip and these look larger than what I am used to……may still give one of these a shot……

I just did the online lie angle putter fitting and sent it in.  I may pull the trigger this week.
