I aint mad at him! It worked out, he won and is well on his way to a tour card as long as he can put together a few more decent finishes. I sincerely hope he keeps the lady on the bag on tour lol.

Bold to say he probably would have done better by going to college. He's 19 and already made the cut in a major, a few mini tour wins, and has a win on the KFT, at 20 he'll probably be on the PGA tour and at worst will be on the KFT. He's also got a Callaway deal sending him $$$. Factor in that he basically had a lost year due to COVID and I'd say that things are working out great for him. If he doesn't make it from here it's not because he didn't go to college. I can't think of anything college would have offered him that he hasn't been able to achieve without it ... other than an education, but he's getting paid without one and can always get one later.

I've always wondered if having a "good caddie" is overrated vs just being talented. Obviously there are certain levels of competition and nuanced courses where any advantage helps but this just proves the point that all these tour pros could just carry their own bag and play and likely be just about as good.

not really bold at all to say, he's built up a lot of scar tissue playing bad and missing cuts trying to make it on the pga tour. It's no secret he has struggled. Going to college for a year or two helps to get you ready for pga tour when you have that talent, look at colin morikawa, matt wollf. I'd say they are doing much better.

 

Hope he does well, I would like to see him on the pga tour. The tournament he won is one of the weakest fields for korn ferry tour, most skip it.

his real caddy lives in Raleigh.  Why go with your GF unless you are a tiny bit sure you might win?  She’s going to be no help, as was shown at the last hole.

You seem to know a whole lot about what’s going on inside his head. Are you by chance a Sports psychiatrist or Mind reader? 
 

Perhaps going to college and winning and individual nation title like Nick Gilliam, Matt Hill, or Cameron Wilson. College golf set all of those guys up for success brilliantly. (See it’s easy to pick and choose guys to try and fit your narrative.)
