Yes Bhatia's win at this time is an absolute fluke given his results as a touring professional to date. That can not even be argued. And that fluke win has zero to do with what happened to Bob Goalby at the Masters. That comparison is a giant stretch on your part even by current WRX standards.

Why would anyone get a GF at a time especially when one is trying to make a name for himself on the tour?  Why settle for a Toyota Lexus now when you get a Porsche GT in a few years?

 

Having a GF is a major distraction for him.  I hope he will succeed but having a GF will make it exceedingly difficult, IMHO.

Can always trade in the Lexus when the lease term runs out and upgrade into something else. 

 

There's also no guarantee that the Porsche will be available. Still has to hang on and get the PGA Tour card which isn't locked up yet.

While there is no guarantee that the Porsche will be available, Bhatia should do nothing but eat, sleep, work out and play golf in order to increase his odds of getting that Porsche.  Having a GF means he will take up his time for other activities beside golf.  Having a GF now will only decrease the chance of trading up the Lexus (his current GF) to a Porsche GT (gisele bündchen).

Tiger Wood dumped his GF when he was young to concentrate on golf.  That's how he won 15 majors.

He pulled out on Monday, must be battling an injury because he hasn’t played a full round out here since the Savannah event and that was the week before the masters

You have got to be kidding.  Ask Scott Verplank how "eat, sleep work out and play golf " worked for him.  These aren't robots.  The wrong GF can be a real problem, but the right GF could very well be the reason for a man's success.  

 

Whether the current GF is the right or wrong one is a matter for discussion, and one I'm not interested in debating.  But to say a GF decreases his chances.....  smh.

I'd think Min Woo Lee will be there. He's been pretty inactive on the DP Tour this year and only played in majors and missing cuts as a sponsors invite.

Points have been reset so the win means nothing point wise and he will be part of the korn ferry tour finals to try to finish in a new top 25 of the series of 3 final events. These events include the top 25 who already won cards to improve their PGA tour standings and the current PGA tour players outside the outside the FedEX cup playoff #126 and up. Good luck to him!!

 

Well Bhatia had 2 other top 20s(14th and 16th).  The win appears to have been the anomaly.  

 

But the dude is 20, banked nearly $200k in official money before expenses, has won a professional event....  in a pretty good spot I would say.

I was paired up with him 2 weeks ago on Sunday in Utah. I was impressed, really good putter. Between him and my guy they had 17 birdies. He mostly hits a fade so any wind that we had from right to left caused him some issues. Nice kid though and a good head on his shoulders

He still has a chance in the finals and has a really good attitude about it.  If he plays the KFT next year, fine.  He's very young and why play the PGA if you're not ready and going to miss cuts.
