The Chevron sponsorship was probably in the works before the new commissioner took over. I saw an interview with the new commissioner recently. She wasn't impressive on several levels.

 

I hope she does well but it looks like the LPGA is going down the road they went down before Mike Whan was brought in to save the LPGA sinking ship.

One thing was they needed to change the date since it now overlaps the Augusta National Women’s Amateur. The best amateurs are at the event this week.

Yeah she’s not good in interviews. Hard to say how she’ll do as commissioner but her background isn’t ideal. I wonder why the search committee chose her.

You probably already know the answer to that, lol. Wahn left the LPGA in great shape, hopefully the new commissioner isn't going to lose a good chunk of LPGA sponsors like Carolyn Bivens did before she was forced out.
