Hard to see Kupcho lose this. The question is whether this will give her the confidence to win another tournament this season and thus add her to the usual rotating clutch of LPGA winners.

Hard to lose? Yes, but we are talking about Jennifer K. She certainly has the talent to win on tour, especially her ballstriking, but will the putter hold up its end of the bargain? I'm not ready to hand her the trophy just yet. In three rounds we've seen many of the top ranked players shoot over par rounds. It can be brutal out there. We've also seen rounds in the low 60s, and Lydia made a final round charge last year, so I do believe its possible. 

 

Now, 10 shots is a whole lotta ground to make up, but I wouldn't rule it out.

Patty or Jessica could also go very low and apply pressure, especially if Kupcho has a slow start

Normally I'll be watching some DP Tour golf getting ready start the day and thought "Oh, nice" drive, chip and putt this morning.  Every year it sounds great  and every year I realize a 1/2 hour in, unless you know somebody competing, it gets pretty redundant lol

I think the -6's and -5's if they are smart and realistic, will go for a 67 or 66 and not do anything to crazy.  That can get you potentially 2nd place money and points.  Jessica and Patty will feel they need to chase Jennifer down, maybe they catch fire or maybe they step on a rake but if Patty or Jessica shoot in the 60's I doubt anyone from behind is catching them.

I would like to see Kupcho win this, but it's often hard to follow a great round with another.

Thinking if she can post a 68 or 69 today, that cliches it, maybe a 70.

Anything higher and someone may  eclipse her.

Should be a great final round!

Yeah, I'd like to see Kupcho win (and smile) but I could definitely see it get tight.  She hit some beautiful iron shots yesterday.  Is she still playing i210s for her irons?

She is a promising player . . . she is tall and she is long off the tee .  . . but, I hope she will have greater success on the LPGA than did Ann Van Dam - who is a player of similar style.   

 

And who knows, perhaps Ann will sharpen her game and be back on the big tour too.

Brittany Altomare still plays the i200s. Pernilla plays a mixed set of i210s and i59s. Caroline plays i200s with an i525 5i. Bianca plays i59s with an i210 4i. Lizette plays i200s with an i525 6i.

 

Otherwise, In Gee, Brooke, Ally, Dana, Linnea, Leona, Aza, Angela, Elizabeth, and Lindsey play full sets.

It’s a shame to see this tournament move away from the Palm Springs area.   The area is one of my favorite places to visit and is a great golf location.  Green grass, blue skies and mountains on either side. And usually great golf weather.  
 

The tournament’s attendance could have been much better if the tournament was scheduled earlier in March or even February as us snowbirds mostly leave by the end of March.  
 

Finding a sponsor with deep pockets would have helped.  
 

50 years at one location is a lot of history being scrapped.    I hope the new commissioner tried her best to keep the tournament in Rancho Mirage.    The move to Texas may result in the tournament just being another tournament on the schedule that is nothing special.  Time will tell.   I like watching the LPGA and hope it works out.  
 

Once this tournament is gone , it is really hard to get it back.
