Will Rickie Fowler ever make a cut on the PGA Tour again?

Pretty good weekend too.  Finished 6th.

I read that he ditched his blades, and has gone to a cavity back iron.  If it works for Jordan Spieth....

The first thing Butch probably told him was to ditch the blades.  Tiger, you're not.

Let's not get too carried away by this result. Rickie had a chance to win the CJ cup last year and did squat after that for 11 months. I wanna see how Rickie plays the rest of this year. He's committed to Shriners and Zozo in October. One more top 10 would go a long way in terms of FEC pts and OWGR pts for next yr.

Well, the PGA tour is better with Rickie playing good so I hope he continues to find his game.

I cant think of many times he ever said or did anything to make people dislike him. I've been a big fan of the player and person for many years.

One of the nicest guys on tour. Hopefully he continues to play well

Ricky's ex caddy seems to be doing awfully good.

It was a nice win for him today. Him and Kim have a good thing going. I think Fowler make a poor decision getting rid of Joe. He wasn't one of Fowler's problems.

If he felt the need like he needed to change things up a different voice in his ear isn't necessarily a bad idea.  No different than good team sport coaches whose voice gets a bit stale and moves on to another team and has success.  Doesn't mean he wasn't/isn't a great caddie.

And who knows if Tom had targeted him he may have left Rickie on his own anyway.  He's on a 20 year old bag with multiple wins, chance to jump to a younger more talented player may have motivated him to leave.

Reverse WRX jinx will turn RF into a winner real soon.

Yep. it has happened before.  This topic needs a title change. The question has been answered again and again. As I said at the start. It is more likely Rickie wins again than never making another cut.

His first professional win was in Korea. After that, his career took off! Why not in Japan than taking off again?

Would be awesome to see him get a win this weekend, and the PGA Tour could use him being back on form.

Some great golf from #golfschool the last few weeks.  Go Pokes!

I'm glad to see him playing well. I was always a doubter, but never a hater. Gave us one of the great finishes at the Players that i can ever remember. Would have been easy to just give up and take big money to play exhibitions and he didn't. He is a very likeable personality and i hope to see him continue to do well, and to see him play his best golf in some majors.

I hope he pulls it off. Have folks noticed his swing is more upright now. It’s not as laid off.

His swing looks great right now IMO. Less so because of how laid off he is or isn't (he naturally is to one degree or another) but more how he's getting there. He's always had a lot of changes in plane throughout his swing, a lot of moving parts, and his swings now just seem to be tightened up in that regard. Hope he closes this one out!

It looks like Fowler is still quite laid off but his hands are higher at the top.

It appears he is not dropping his downswing to the inside as much, which you stated.

Yeah and his main "issue" if you could call it that is the steepening in the downswing in reaction to getting too laid off. Actually that would just be part of the bigger issue which is how many times he changes shaft plane throughout the swing. Club way outside the hands in the backswing, then a big vertical hinge, then an equally big flattening and laying off, then steepening in transition, then shallowing again later. Just a lot of moving parts, some of which is just in his swing DNA, but some of which is being managed by a lot of natural talent. I feel like he's probably a guy that needs to keep up the reps and stay on top of his swing at all times to make it perform (maybe more so than some), and recent life changes probably just pulled him back from that slightly, enough to make his game slip. The swings he made in this tournament just felt to me like all those plane changes were just decreased, fewer moving parts to manage.

Man would have loved for him to close out the tournament for the absolute meltdown that would have followed here.

Even without the win there should be some crow to eat😆  Some of the prognosticators, naysayers and haters got it so wrong. I won't name names or post the screenshots but.........
