Ok we know for all of the Rickie fan boys out there yes he will and has made the cut several times but can someone add a different thread, Will Rickie ever win again? Now there is a topic that could seriously go on a lot further than this one. I hope he can as I'm glad he is having a much better year than his last few.

I think so, yes. I think the chances of him winning a major are slim at this point, but a regular tournament, I can see that. I don't think he'll ever reach what was thought to be his potential, but I can still see him winning the odd tournament here and there.

Rickie has quietly made a massive turnaround stats wise and is knocking on the door of his best season (2018) from that standpoint. The putting is the only thing lagging a little bit behind, but if he keeps this up he'll be lifting some hardware soon.

I’ve bagged on RF plenty on here, I’ll admit I was pulling for him yesterday. Turning him into an underdog must have won me over. He’s a long way from winning, but it was neat to watch him shoot 62. He still may never win again as far as any of us know.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. The only thing standing in his way right now is the mental hurdle of closing it out, all the skills are there. On paper he is on par with Max Homa stats wise currently and it would take a big swing away from his current trajectory to keep him out of the winner's circle and outside the top 25 by the end of the season.

That mental hurdle is huge, not to mention the very good players chasing him with their own intention of winning. But he’s a helluva lot closer today than he was a few days ago!

I didn’t like Rickie when he first came on tour. Too flashy and young (ha, absolutely hate that!). Couldn’t stand the orange outfits as a long time OU Sooner fan. 
 

But I really admire his toughness and determination in his return. And the gracious way he plays the game and respects his friends. No one else seems to hang around as much after a Sunday round celebrating the victories of others.  He doesn’t shirk interviews after not playing well and owns up to bad shots and decisions. Loved his comments about his daughter at the presser after yesterdays round. 
 

I’d play golf with him anytime.

Is it time for rickie to ditch the Sunday orange? He basically had to resurrect his game so I don’t think the years of Sunday turmoil in big events does good reminding him in his second phase of his career. The shades are part of rickie 2.0 and they don’t look good with orange
