Am I the only one who thinks the TSi2 was more bulbous in the heel of the driver? Would love to see a comparison pic of the TSi2 and TSr2 in the playing position.

Any ballpark idea on when they are going to start fitting these. Scheduling a trip to CA but want to make sure Titleist will be fitting these.  Thanks in advance

They've been on Tour two and a half days. No matter what anyone is saying on here (even the guy who claimed to be getting fitted this week 🙈), no one knows anything about them yet. It's all speculation. No one knows when they'll be fitting them as yet, but going on past releases, expect September time.

That's not true. This tour seeding and validation process is just a marketing trick.

Personally, I do not know much, nor have I tried to find out anything. But I know Project X Hzrdus black 4th generation will be in the line up, but it doesn't come as a shock to anybody.

Interesting take given how little changes generation to generation, and has been that way for more than a decade now...  Now if comparing to a 15+ yr old driver, sure, but this isn't going to be earth shattering.  it isn't going to be rocketballzier...

I'm not claiming every iteration is groundbreaking, I am saying that your evaluation is based on incomplete data and superficial observations. I would like to see you show (from a spec standpoint) what driver from say 2015 you'd consider to be comparable to something current.

I don't know if CHIII is bagging one of the new Titleist drivers at the Travellers but he just hit drive on #2 and it sounded like a carbon driver.  I wonder if they now have a new crown, albeit painted black?

Anyway CHIII murdered it and almost drove the green.

So for you this has better sound? Go on....

The only thing that you said that was meaningful was that the changes to the 4 were/are needed.  If not, they might as well go back to the moto style as it's sales numbers will be, ho hum...

What is interesting is what is the purpose of you posting in this thread?   As you have indicated changes from generation to generations are not monumental for any manufacturer - that doesn’t mean people can’t be excited about a new release or that individuals with their own swing tendencies may not find benefits from something new.

No official word from Titleist regarding anything to do with the new lineup. Therefore, everything said is all hearsay. I'm not saying there's an issue with that, but it's a fact. Nothing will be confirmed until the embargo lifts.

With that logic, you should not be in this thread. Keep refreshing Titleist.com for your news. 😉

I made no inference one way or another.  My post asked if the new drivers could be carbon crowned.

..and implied that the new drivers seem good, regardless.

Sorry, you won't see carbon on titleist any time soon. Proven that you can get basically the same weight distribution with titanium that you do with carbon after gluing and painting etc.

Yeah, I agree - but in the other thread, "Whats coming in the next Titleist Driver?" there was carbon talk.

Later I examined the photos pretty closely and the crown and body seem to roll smoothly and look nearly identical to the previous generation in that aspect - typify on carbon crown you can see transitional waves and such.  It's why companies like Callaway and TM choose design elements to mask this such as matte paint, transparent paint fading to black to show the carbon weave, etc...

Titleist gloss black would show a material transition like a sore thumb.

I came away convinced it's an all Ti body.

TSR2 = Cobra F9 Speedback?

At this point everyone is copying the Cobra "speedback" design. The TM "inertia generator" that debuted in the SIM and the Cally "Tungsten speed cartridge" in the Rogue ST are the same thing. The TSi2 was not a great looking driver. TSR2 could be a really nice step forward.
